Never watched any of this show before but my wild theory is that maybe Smirnoff is not dead either and he is with Hopper because that letter had the same things that Murray was talking about to Joyce and Hopper in the car on it and my guess is that if we could read further then it would have ‘pleez to make love’ or something like that on there 😕.

I hope you don’t make us wait too long between drops, but I get only doing 1 maybe 2 max at a time. This season, the episodes get LONG. Also no worries on the end credits ‘cause honestly it fits more as an intro to this season than an ending for last one. As long as you end up seeing it, you’re all good.

The way Max is acting relates to Hoppers letter to 11 at the end of last season. Not directly, but in how he talked about when you stop feeling things and push people away because of pain and trauma. Max watched her brother get killed, and then he died in her arms. She’s cutting off her emotions so she doesn’t have to feel the pain of losing Billy like that. Who, for better or worse, was her big brother for a few years.

Something you might not know with DnD: it depends on the Dungeon Master, but with somebody like Eddie it’s probably a safe bet; if your character dies (reaches 0 hit points and then bleeds out), they’re often permanently dead. You can’t play them anymore. So that’s a whole school years worth of a character that stands the chance of permanently dying to Vecna.
