One of my favorite comic book films. This story was said to be unfilmable but Snyder's direction style and storytelling made it an excellent adaptation of an extremely difficult story to tell. "Watchmen" is probably Zack Snyder's best film.

No it’s not limited there’s over 1500 people in the server, that’s a very old post from when he streamed on there and it only allowed 300 in the stream channel at the time but it’s been increased to thousands

Watchmen is crazy but you gotta watch the series! It’s only one season and starting Regina King who plays the voice of them lil jokers on Boondocks. It’s so good! You would enjoy it especially after seeing the movie and then if you know about Tulsa Oklahoma!!!! Chile. Get into it!

I can totally understand the criticism of this movie. I absolutely prefer the graphic novel, but it's too bad that so many undermine what Zack and his team pulled off with this. As a lifelong fan of this story, seeing some of these characters and panels come to life is so fucking cool. Even with it's flaws, I'm blown away by the attention to detail every time I see this. And the Dr. Manhattan sequence by itself is flawless.

It's a damn shame Jackie Earle Haley's performance in this film didn't give him some nominations for major awards. His acting performance in "Watchmen" is one of the best acting someone has done for a comic book film. It's up there with Heath Ledger's acting in The Dark Knight.

Please do the Watchmen HBO show. It basically follows the graphic novel that this movie is based on. There’s just 1 major difference you should know about before you start the show. I guarantee you’ll love it.

danger there is plenty of stuff recommended over on discord that's not that: Mad max:fury road, planet of the apes (newer franchise) HOTD, better call Saul, where he pulled "us" from. the town, Oppenheimer, the last 2 Indiana Jones movies to finish the trilogy, scarface, a quiet place, the bourne movies, remember the titans. Barry, Ford vs Ferrari, the wire, edge of tomorrow, uncut gems, etc.

The problem I have is that I don't believe there is anything that would actually ban the world together. Not even a common enemy so the while idea falls apart bc eventually people will start to fight amongst themselves.... if they ever ban together in the first place.

one of my favorite easter eggs from this movie is at the beginning of the opening credits you see the old school Nite Owl knock out a particular robber/mugger- note the family he's saving and the posters in the background. In this universe, Nite Owl saves the Wayne's, therefore Batman does not exist - but they were seeing a play called "The Bat-Man"

One thing I've never understood is how the smartest dude alive has inhuman strength and speed. I guess the speed could be him interpreting movements before they happen due to being able to see the slightest twitches in a persons body but doesnt explain catching a bullet as it still would have gone through his hand or being able to kick another grown man through the air across the room. I never read any comics or stories about Watchmen though. Maybe someone more knowledgeable about it can explain it to me.

He's not only the smartest man in the world but he's also naturally at the peak of physical human condition in the Watchmen world. It's sort of how Batman's peak physical condition makes it to where his strength, speed, etc are almost superhuman. With Adrian Veidt's analytical abilities, he's naturally fast enough to pull off some crazy things.

Okay most of that stuff makes sense, see I wasn't keen on the lore/canon behind the actual characters or their verse I was just like "how tf is dude so cold and he's just smart?" but I was also guessing some of the bullet stopping was done by his suit since if you're rich and smart, you gotta have dope gadgets and shit.

its been a long long time since i read the comic book that this movie is based on but i dont remember ozymandias being much of a fighter at all so he doesnt have to show off any inhuman strength or speed thats more of a zack snider thing that he does for the movie in this movie the characters and the world are way more stylised and snyder puts way more action in the movie than the actual comic book has ..

this is a fucking awesome movie im a big fan of the original comic book graphic novel that this movie is based on the comic is a fucking classic of american literature in my opinion and i think zack snyder did a decent job especially because how hard it is to compact that whole story into a movie he did change a buncha stuff and cut things here and there and did ad a buncha stuff like making the characters and the world way more stylized than in the actual comic but zack is pretty good at that making superheroes look fucking cool lol anyways if you did enjoy this movie and story i highly recommend the HBO series under the same name WATCHMEN its pretty close to perfect an excellent series and only one season but what a fucking season ..i do have to warn you tho some people are to dumb and stupid to appreciate the series it goes above there febal little minds ,people are always afraid of what they dont understand but i think you would love it so heres to hoping youll give it a shot 👍🏽

I think the best sign about the quality of HBO’s Watchmen series is just how often I see diehard fans of the comics giving it praise. I love the series personally, but I really got into Watchmen with this movie, so I feel like my opinion holds less weight than that of somebody who had feelings and opinions about Watchmen for decades before the show came out.

When "Time Magazine" actually mattered, their list of the 100 best novel's/written stories of the 20th century included "Watchmen". It should be viewed as 100% classic American literature with other great American novels. Also agree about the HBO series. It's really damn good.
