When this came out in the theaters, virtually NO one expected that Samuel L. Jackson -- a huge star in a main role -- would be taken out halfway through and like that, and that LL Cool J would be one of the two to survive to the end. The collective gasp in the audience when Jackson's character got taken was incredible, just threw us all.

That's the OG shark movie that kickstarted my love of sharks and convinced my parents that I was mature enough at my age to watch horror movies, LOL. So it has a lot of nostalgia for me.

Lets goooooooo i love this movie, its not the best movie ever and it doesnt have to be, its just good enough and its fun :P LL cool J and his bird haha hell yeah! and Sam jackson of course but yeah thanks for this cant wait for stranger things and anything else. Dunno if you're down but DARK is a sick show like stranger things and its only 3 seasons and its done, it is in german though, but the english dub aint to bad either way you've read subtitles before so its not that bad and its super good show. Evil scientists, the dummy hero "I'm just here to be cool, I don't think too much" role model, fear of gene science, pushing the theme "man shouldn't meddle with nature." Classic 90's.

It makes me laugh that even when Christians make an anti-science movie like this they can't even get it right. The scientist's moral argument was perfectly sound. A dozen lives is absolutely worth trading for the cure to all neurodegenerative disease. That's trading 12 to save 1000000. There is no counter argument offered against this, except, "ahem didn't you hear the bit about you DYING? And like, dying is BAD?" Thanks genius. At no point in this movie was the scientist lady in the wrong to save the shark. We're supposed to think she is because letting a couple people die on purpose is not what Jesus would do. Except that means letting millions die of brain disease instead. Nice one Jesus.

I'm so glad you're watching some scarier flicks. Horror can be fun. It's OK to have boundaries and say NO to some horror but there's so many good, fun things out there. I wouldn't call this horror, but maybe action horror, or horror adjacent - but to my point - a movie that's a lil scarier where you don't know who'd going next can be a fun ride!

Thomas Jane (Carter Blake in this Movie) plays in the Movie "61*" as Mickey Mantle (The legendary player from the New York Yankees). "61*. Roger Maris, was also a legend of the New York Yankees in 1961. Both him and Mantle were in a Home Run Race to beat Babe Ruth's Homerun Record that year. It took 61 Homers to beat Babe Ruth's Record. That Movie is awesome. I love Baseball. You shpuld check that movie out.
