I remember seeing this in the theater when it first came out, great movie, I also recall reading or maybe in a interview someone said they blocked off huge areas to film so nobody was driving or walking in the shots with no people around. Now it reminds me of when covid shut everything down, when the media would show huge towns with nobody outside or driving, crazy stuff!! So glad that's over.... for now.... hey Leo if you wanna get into a short series watch BARRY ON HBO , Bill Hader Co wrote, acted, directed, and produced it, it has one of the best characters ever besides Jessie Pinkman lol NOHO HANK, I think you'd like it 😆

Parts of this movie were filmed on a digital camcorder from 2000 which is why it looks so weird/bad, I think there were some in-camera effects for those flowers.

Yeah I didn't feel like deleting my 1st comment. I said Vampire movie because I confused this one with 30 days of night... the vampire movie. But as it started I realized I'm watching a different movie so went back and wrote horror. Then back to the movie. Ling story medium. I'd prefer to see any of these movies, as well as holes as you mentioned, or even blade AGAIN before attempting to watch another twilight movie. That 1st one was enough for me to get that yeah it's not for me. And from what I heard of the last movie, 🚨 possible spolier 🚨 they spent the 1st part of the movie tricking the audience with a dream.

There's an argument to be made that starting at the prequel is chronologically accurate from an in-universe stand-point; and I am sorry to say - this one was far more impressive in terms of artistic vision, execution, cinematography and score than the other 5 movies in the series.

After reading the comments , I have a question for all the horror fans /zombie fans. (55 horror fan since I was 6. Love me some zombie flix.I have seen the best , worst and in between. lol ) Night '68 was the birth of the modern zombie. (Voodoo zombies are a whole different thing. ) What constitutes a "Zombie" ? For me , and many others , it's simple. To quote NOTLD " The unburied dead are returning to life and seeking human victims." Fast , or slow they are DEAD. In 28 Day/Weeks the victims are not dead. Just infected with a virus. Agree/Disagree ? Peace

"artistic vision, execution, cinematography and score" are subjective, but even then, The Omen had better critical and audience reception upon release, and has stood the test of time as a classic horror movie with a great cast and original concept. I haven’t read any such praise for the latest one. Being a prequel means nothing since it isn't the same creative team, just new people being handed a franchise title. If Nickelodeon was to make a prequel show 20 years from now called "Baby Spongebob" with an all-new voice cast and art direction, you couldn't tell new fans they have to watch that first before starting the original series because "the modern animation is better and the story is chronologically in order.” Did you think Prometheus was better than Alien?

Fair enough - but if you seriously expect us to go through all the movies before the most recent one, I really can't get behind that. As a side note: I wasn't sure if Leo had already watched the original. Every time I suggest a movie, people jump on me telling me he's already watched it, but that either Patreon removed it due to that storage issue and/or it was deleted off Youtube because of his marijuana smoking. The first Omen is undeniably a classic. An argument can be made for the second. But if you're going to sit here and tell me that the rest of the series after that is anything more than 80s/90s B movie straight-to-TV shlock, than I have no respect for your taste. Respectfully.
