so the reason the murder family was out in the middle of nowhere was because they all used to work at the slaughterhouse, but were put out of work when they changed the method for killing animals (like the hitchhiker talks about). so to put food on the table, and because they were bored, they started using their slaughtering skills on people instead. also, we can guess that the hitchhiker was the grave robber from the cemetery at the beginning.

06 is TCM: The Beginning. Its the one with the two brothers who are driving down with the girlfriends to enlist in the Vietnam War. Its also the prequel to the 2003 film.

the guy this movie was based on Ed Gein, did not have a huge bodycount. I believe officially he only ever killed one person but he grave robbed a ton of bodies to make furniture and assorted table wear. He also wanted to make a skin suit to quote “become his mother” . Disgusting and disturbed man.

I like all the Texas Chainsaw movies except New Generation. With #2 probably as my favorite. I enjoy the new ones a lot but they don't have the charm of the first 2. 2 shows the after effects of 1 and might have more of the ending you're looking for. Better stars, better acting, and ahead of its time. It does "Cabin In The Woods" to itself. It's not for everyone but that's my 2 cents.

I remember I got it as a present for Christmas one year. Me, My ex-wife, Sister, Brother in law and Nephew sat down to watch it at the end of the night and everyone was blown away, my nephew who was like 9 at the time ran out in fright lol. The sequel is quirky and doesn't take itself too seriously and not as scary at all but more just chuckles followed by "wtf" comments 😅🤭😏 Would love to see you check out The Blair Witch Project! Man the marketing for that movie was CRAZY back then(was it real? Or just a movie? 😏).. and I was only 9 when it came out lol

WOW !! Glad to see you do this one. I've been a horror fan for 49 of my 55 years and this is in my Top 3 of all time. I am actually goin to see this (It turned 50 this year) and Terrifier 3 at a Drive-In Theatre this weekend. I do so love this film on many levels. There is way more goin on than just a "gore" film. (There is more onscreen blood in Jaws than in this film BTW.) I do know the behind the scenes stuff , and recomend any new fan of the film watch the documentary's on You Tube of the home media versions. Oh , and I HATE FRANKLIN!!! I re-watch his kill every time I watch the film. Great actor , and a nice man in person , but FUCK!! what a fuckin BITCH!! lol And I want a white chicken in a blue bird cage for my living room. Anyway , cone sparked , and Let's go ta Texas!! Peace

If interested in Ed , you really should watch a film called Deranged - 1974 . (Also 50this year , lol But came out just before TCM) The closest to the real case as I have seen filmed. Cheesy at times , but a damn great horror film IMO. Peace

That Halloween 2 2009 is hella underrated. It's got like a 4/10 on imdb, but it scared the shit out of me lol. The beginning with the hospital scene and all that, really scary and well done horror IMO. And doesn't even use the original music/theme (that music haunted me for a long time lol)

I never understood why the truck driver at the end didn't just drive off after Sally got into the truck. There was no reason they had to get out the passenger side and run. The chain saw was just scratching the door. That's Hollywood for ya! 🤣
