dunno about the original Japanese, but in the Spanish dub, King Kai was pretending to have a backache or an itch at 3:27 in order to make a pun with his name and introduce himself. and all the jokes that Goku tells to make him laugh are lame puns. king Kai's humor in Spanish is based on lame puns

PLEASE WATCH DBZ Kai its just dbz but paced correctly the show had to add filler to keep pace with the manga release kai just shows it with no unecessary filler

I'd agree with the pacing, but a lot of the big scenes in kai just don't hit as much as this version. Plus they changed gohan's voice actor so that's an L

We'd be in the 2nd season already if this were Kai. Just start up Kai on episode 6-7 of Kai man. This is going to take a decade to react too and we're all going to have to live through the worst of the voice acting and all the extra crap. If you thought waiting for Goku to get to King Kais was a chore, get ready for the Healing Pod.

Don't listen to the people saying do kai. If anything just binge the original version, it has filler and what not but the original experience is unmatched.
