Shazam was part of a different company in the 30s & 40s, before DC purchased it and he was more popular than Superman. They were sued by DC for copying the Superman character tho and lost. Even tho Shazam could fly b4 Superman so DC kinda copied their own copycat. Also his name was CAPTAIN MARVEL. But after being sued and shut down 20 years, Marvel took the name and made their own hero with similar powers. When DC brought it back, they had to eventually change his name to SHAZAM!

i really did enjoy this first shazam movie it nailed it pretty perfect the superhero kid movie mixed with humor and heart ,so like in the movie and the comics shazams powers come from magic and one of superman's weakness is magic so shazam can actually go toe to toe with superman ..... well at least for a bit lol

The DCEU might've had more misses than hits but this was easily in my top 3 and has remained there. It goes- 1. Wonder Woman 2. The Suicide Squad 3. Shazam I'm really excited for James Gunn's run and his rebooted DCU. Great reaction as always, looking forward to the next one up.
