i actually like this episode but the part about how charlie's dad died and frank's vaccine stuff is the lowest point in the show for me. it's like an executive from pfizer wrote that in. At the height of the pandemic in Ireland, the county with the highest vaccination rate around 99%, Waterford, also had the highest transmission rates in the country. Numerous studies, including one by Harvard looked at populations around the world, and found the same thing. Now we know the vaccine didn't stop the spread, but even back then, based on the logic of what we were told - that it was effective at stopping death and serious illness… that should mean that the individual is protected so if Frank was unvaccinated, how tf did that kill Charlie’s dad who was? That makes no sense. And they made Frank represent the strawman kooky conspiracy theorist, representing all the people that had legit questions about a treatment that was rushed out and forced on people by very shady corporations (with the government. We know has no actual oversight because of the incestuous relationship between the companies and the FDA, who get most of their funding from them). Making it about magnets and whatever the fuck he was talking about. The pharmaceutical industry have a long documented history of knowing a product is killing people, but leaving it on the market, because whatever profit they’re making supersedes the fines they have to pay and in this case they had immunity. and some people including myself had family injured by it and are still suffering long term health issues after their booster. and gotten covid repeatedly. funny how "vaccines" work these days Everything else about the episode I actually enjoyed. Charlie’s dramatic bit at the end I felt was way better than macs Gay dance. But it really stings that my favorite show didn’t have balls when it mattered they took the safe route. because Rob just listens to NPR and doesn’t realize the same corporate interests control both liberal and conservative media. That was how they manipulated all of us to hate our neighbor. It became a left or right tribal thing, so if you had any questions about this experimental "vaccine" that means you’re a Trump supporter. That’s so nefarious. it used to be cool on the left to criticize big pharma, but then they used hatred of trump to manipulate people against each other. right vs left is meant to divide, its top down and the government is in bed with for profit pharma industry and it make a lot of sense to be skeptical of a rushed through experimental treatment being mandated on you and your kids.

i expect that kind of reaction but can you answer the quesiton - if charlie's dad was vaccinated then how did frank kill him? there's no logical sense there. back then we were told 2 conflicting things - if you don't get the vaccine you are killing someone's grandmother lol and also the vaccine is 100% effective at protecting the individual from death or serious illness. well it either works or it doesn't. pharmaceutical industry inserts their propaganda into tv and movies all the time, just like pro-war messaging. my post was long and ranty i'll grant you that, but there's nothing i said that isn't basic common sense. it sucks my favorite show just regurgitated the same old propaganda you see on CNN

Did they ever say Charlie’s dad was vaccinated? If he was I guess the assumption would be that it mutated in either Frank or Dennis or both, and they delivered the mutated variant to Shelly. But I figured he just hadn’t been vaccinated either.

not explicitly but its heavily implied, why else would the emphasis be so much on frank "killing" him as charlie said? the whole point of taking the vaccine was to prevent serious illness or death in the individual. if it was effective like they said, you shouldn't need someone else to take it. it would just work, and protect you. there are studies showing quite the opposite, people who have got the vaccine and boosters keep contracting it (yes different variants and mutations which is why having a one size fits all rushed through vaccine for all made no sense). people who didn't take the vax usually only have covid once and the natural immunity does a much better job of keeping the future variants away. this was my anecdotal experience anyway. but yea if charlie's dad was unvaccinated the whole thing is moot and they shouldn't have singled frank out. it's clear they just wanted to beat us over the head with the pro-pharma message: if you had any concerns about this experimental treatment, rushed through and not properly tested at all, from companies with a long documented history of knowing pills were killing people but the profits outweighed whatever fines they have to pay...in this case they had immunity... if you had any qualms about that, you're a trumper, conservative conspiracy bad person and you should feel shame. even though people who identify as left have always questioned pharma. suddenly we were equating"science" with these shady corporations that bought off our media and politicians, because that's how the media framed it. people can be so easily propagandized through tribalism and its terrifying
