He worked on the designs for the show, so I'd say that's plenty of involvement. Not only that, but DBZ Kai and Super are in the same universe instead of original DB DBZ. Besides that the power scaling is WAY off in Super. It was done much better in GT. Not only that, but they didn't dumb Goku down like they did in Super just to make Vegeta look good for the fan service
