We're here to see your reaction, and if a specific version of the show gives us a better reaction then I think thats a win, but what you will not win is pleasing everyone. My first experience watching dbz was in japanese with OG music but I'm not complaining telling you to watch it in its intended language. Watching it with Bruce's music changed how the show felt in a great way. People may agree, people may disagree, it's all about what you prefer. PS... watch episode 95 with Bruce music

I think folks are gonna complain regardless. I will always prefer the BF score but I've also seen it in the OG format with the YMCA music and Subbed as well. Doesn't matter to me. Hell, I even watched all through Kai which was not it (for me, Im aware it's the closest to the manga). I do hope you get around to watching DBZ Abridged when you're done, that shit is hilarious.

I like the idea of uploading 2 with the same commentary. The script changes are margainal. Those who want OG like myself get theirs. Those who like the Bruce version get theirs. Its a simple edit and everybody wins. I am not watching this to watch DBZ. If I wanna do that I pop in the bluray or watch Kai. I watch this for Leos reaction. I want to see that. But I detest the Faulcner version so much that it interferes with my enjoyment with my OCD so I literally cant watch it. Doing 2 uploads appeases all parties and can move on cuz the poll is practically straight down the middle with a roughly 23 person difference

Thanks for the uploads!!! I hope you watch some non-torture porn horror movies! The Fourth Kind is alien movie, Longlegs is a detective thriller with Nicholas Cage as the bad guy, Late Night with the Devil is a 70's late night documentary style. They are all REALLY ORIGINAL AND VERY GOOD! For comedy I'd suggest Year One (jack black), The Heat (cop comedy with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy) and Drop Dead Gorgeous for another hilarious look at beauty pageants with a MAJOR cast, but it's darker than Miss Congeniality. As always thank you for what you do!!

I watched all episodes and enjoyd them until the first Bruce Faulconer Version... and I could not watch it. It takes away all the essence of DBZ and destroys the scenes and sometimes the scenes intent. The music is everywhere. I can not enjoy the BF Version at all and I can't understand anyone who defends this version or who doesn't care which version it is. The version are drasticly different and I unfortunately can't continue watching the episodes. This was one of the reasons I became a member and I really liked the reactions and was really looking forward to rewatching DBZ "with you". But I will still enjoy the other content.

Do which one you like the best. Most of us grew up wit the Bruce version because that's what aired here in the US. I've also watched every episode with the original sound. You get the same enjoyment from either. People in these comments complaining are just looking for something to complain about.

I mean what you're suggesting could work. The dialog is only a little different at most. Similar to if it was a different language like the original Japanese. The inuyasha and other anime fans should be used to subtitles not matching English dubs because the translation from Japanese to English can be interpreted different ways. All that to say a few words being different isn't that noticeable especially to someone new to the entire show. But as has been said, the big drawback of the BF version is the constant music, but to people who grew up on that version, the nostalgia of it is enough to wanna see it as well as the OG being something "NEW" to them. Can't win em all. Do whichever you enjoy most. We'll complain and keep watching regardless. Anyone who unsubscribes because they don't like your genuine "reaction" to the shows you react to is kinda fickle anyways. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Its literally not. After Effects it takes about 10 minutes more to encode. Then however long it takes vimeo. Its literally set it and forget it. What Leo suggested is a fair compromise that benefits everybody

Sorry to keep posting but 1 moe ting. If you stick with DBZ long enough, the OG or BF versions won't matter because remember this showed aired in the 80s. This (episode was from 1991, but the English version came out in 1999) After it's popularity spiked again they came out with newer episodes. Even dropped a new season a few months ago on Netflix. So I say whatever you choose, stick with it till the end. It has up and downs but say the UPs are worth it.

Honest truth... doesn't matter which one man, just enjoy the show. As long as it's not the Kai version lol I've watched DBZ since the late 90s and I couldn't tell you which is which. I just love this fucking show no matter how it gets to me.

I realize it's a matter of opinion, but genuinely it strikes me as so nostalgia-brained to prefer the OG music. Bruce's is clearly 100x better. More suspenseful, more impactful, more suited to every scene. The boiiing doiiing noises during the epic showdown was the last straw for me. Whoever made that OG soundtrack had no clue what they were doing compared to Bruce.

Holy shit... I can't believe you did this for us... I don't know a reactor who would take this extra step to please his viewers! Yo I appreciate it heavily. When I was a kid I didn't care about the music. Probably because I was still getting used to the voice changes that happened from Ocean Dub to Funimation. Then I got all the seasons on DVD still not focused on the music just the story. Then I seen comments on YouTube maybe about the music, and I was playing some clips, and it took me straight back to watching it on television after school when the voices changed in the middle of the Namek and Frieza saga, and the music by trying to make it more brand new, and exciting. It took me forever to get used to the voices especially Vegeta's... Music or not I enjoyed it, until it was pointed out to me. When I had the DVD's I didn't even realize I had the OG version, and when I was watching on TV I didn't realize I was watching the Bruce version. I was only focused on the story. Now that I've watched both. I like the OG music better

I'ma say it in here. I really hope Leo sticks with the upload for Both Bruce and OG. I really appreciate him trying to find a compromise. He reacts to one and uploads it with both. The differences in the script are margainal if at all. I watched a little of the Bruce version of ep 92 today to see how his commentary lines up and its good and its a simple edit. I did try the watch the OG/Turn down the Leo so I can get the Leo commentary while tuning out the Bruce completely in the event he does 100% commit to Bruce and eliminates OG(Which sucks after 90 eps) and it just doesnt work well. Leos too quiet. The only reason why I fucking hate the poll and the results and dont really accept the results that well is because it is literally right down the middle. 382 people, 180 for OG, 202 for Bruce. 22 person difference. 22 people, and the dropping of OG for 22 people after 90 episodes really fucking sucks. if it was a much bigger lead I could accept it. Which I did until the Poll continued. Leo needs to set time limits on his Polls in the future. life would be easier if the idiot editing the Bruce Score didnt edit it like a fucking idiot. There are some alright tracks that are good on specific moments but god damn is it a fucking mess 90% of the time and Leo is 100% right on the Silence. its Leos Choice. Whatever he does. He opened the can of worms to begin with. I'm thankful we dont have to deal with this shit with Daima or Super or OG DB. God Help us if he looks at GT lol

Watching the same thing twice and being just as entertaining the second time, talking twice as much, being "on" twice as long. Yeah post production of slapping two videos together is easy but doubling all the efforts in recording is asking a lot just to have different background music

I watched the OG and loved it, BUT, I'm a definite fan of he musical interludes that play inbetween certain things. It works well. The bulma bit at the start of the episode. I went back and watched both parts and the music part was the part hat I really like the most as I thought It fit the context the most. At the end of the day. You do you. :)

OG is a lot nicer. It fits the tone so much better IMO. I grew up on the one with all the guitars, but as time goes on I've liked the guitar one less and less. I wish there was a combined version because there are some really good moments on both
