1-3 is the Andy Trilogy. If the sequels get a Trilogy then its the Bonnie Trilogy. 4 is a stellar movie. Anybody who hates it probably didnt have a happy childhood or never gave it a chance. 4 is universally praised by critics and audiences alike. Was it necessary? Maybe not as 1-3 is a great trilogy, But its a great film that really pushs more as toys do grow up too. Also Carl Weathers and Keanu Reeves.

This movie is pretty good but honestly I really liked the third ones resolution at the end. It felt complete like the toys get a new life with another child to make their life special and yeah I thought that was a perfect ending. Toy Story 4 isn’t bad but yeah just wish they stopped there but either way it’s good. Stay litty y’all hope the weekends going good!

While this will never be my favorite of the quartet (about to be a quintet, I guess!), I don't hate it, or even dislike it. The first three gave us the story of a toy from the perspective of the child growing up. This one gives us the perspective of a once-beloved toy whose owner is no longer interested, building on the smaller stories we saw with other toys throughout as Woody and Buzz were the most beloved of Andy's. The Forky part is a little silly, even for this film series, it's true. But I look at it as defining the question, what is a toy in the mind of a child? The stick they wave as a sword, could that be a toy? The sock a parent crafts into a puppet? What about the small hill of dirt, rocks, and twigs in front of my childhood home that was my "pirate ship" for several formative years? So, I give Forky a pass.

Forky is not the new woody. Jesse is. It wasn’t about the fork it was about the symbolism and why Bonnie’s attachment to the fork meant so much to woody. Forky had what woody wanted and that was a relationship with Bonnie. And he knew Forky made her happy so he felt his purpose was to make sure forky was around since he himself didn’t make her happy. He was a forgotten toy so he had no purpose. He had no reason to stay.

Or people just don't like the movie. Who cares about a Bonnie trilogy? Most people don't like Toy Story 4 and feel like the movie should have ended at the 3rd one. The franchise should have stopped at Toy Story 3. It's clear what the agenda was from the 3rd movie, make Andy give the toys to Bonnie so now the "girl" is the focal point of the story, then get rid of Woody in the 4th movie and have Jesse (the girl version of Woody) be the leader of the toys. Hollywood's usual pushing the lead males out in order for the females to be the focal point of the franchise. Then get mad when it NEVER works or is not as successful as before.....SMH!!!

This is why I wish Andy just kept his toys for his kids and never gave them to Bonnie. This movie also hurt the ending of the 3rd movie when Andy was giving the toys to Bonnie and explaining the importance of the toys and especially when it comes to Woody and how he will be your best pal and never give up on you. Only for this movie to have Bonnie basically rather play with a spork than Woody. This is why the franchise should have stopped at the 3rd one.

Over 1bill on Worldwide in ticket sales on par with Toy Story 3(TS4 is $1.074 billion, TS3 is $1.067 billion). So who is "Most People" to you? And female as the focal point of the franchise? The entire effing movie was about Woody coming to terms with not being needed while everybody else was and finding new purpose in his life. Not to mention TS5 is going to focus on Woody and Buzz again so I don't know what you are smoking.

The first time I heard there would be a fourth, I couldn't believe it. They wrapped it up perfectly with the third. Then I saw an interview where the creators said the third film was the end of Andy's journey. And that the fourth film would start over with Bonnie. The fifth would focus on new themes, where kids are more immersed in technology than toys.

I always thought this one was just okay, some parts good, others not so much. I got and get a lot of flack for it, I do very much enjoy that Gabby Gabby wasn't really an antag this time around and they broke free of the good guys and bad guys theme. However, my biggest problem is Buzz inner voice BS.. It made him seem uncharacteristically dull imo. Which really chapped my hide because he is my favorite. Also, I really wish more people would have suggested that you watched Toy Story that Time Forgot before watching this one, I think it's a better 4 than this and there was references to it in this as well.

Rotten Tomatoes has NOT been credible for YEARS, especially when it comes to Disney movies, so I don't care about their ratings. The majority of these critics are bought and paid for. The movie was not good, even Leo didn't like it. Woody was out of character and Buzz was basically a non-factor in this movie. The Woody and Buzz dynamic was not there. The whole spork storyline was a pushed agenda geared towards children and it contradicts the 1st Toy Story movie with Buzz who truly thought he was a REAL spaceman only for Woody to tell him that he was a toy and then for Buzz himself to find out he was in fact a toy (just because you think you believe you are something doesn't mean that you are) and came to accept that he was just a toy, not to continue pretending he was something that he wasn't. And if Woody and Buzz are reuniting in the 5th one and are being the focus again, it's because they know the 4th one WASN'T as successful as you claimed it was, otherwise they would keep moving the story forward without Woody. There's no point of Woody being in the 5th one since he basically retired from being a toy in this movie. But they know Woody is the heart of the franchise and they can't have a movie without him which is also why this movie made no sense in how the movie ended just for him to come back in the 5th one. At this point, the franchise is a cash grab and watered down. Disney is inconsistent with certain IP's and don't know how to properly move forward with storytelling and rather push certain agendas than tell good stories. This why the MCU (or as i call it the MSHEU) is struggling to go forward since Phase 3 and why Star Wars is in the poor state that it's in. Visually the movie is beautiful, but story wise, the movie is NOT good. Certain franchises are just not meant to be ongoing for many reasons. Toy Story is one of them and should have ended at Toy Story 3.

1st time watching this one & call me crazy but I was thinking the next one would be about Woody & Bo helping other lost toys find kids n perhaps run back into his old pals Buzz'nem one day! I never had the interest to look up part 5 to see where it was goin but I def assumed it would be centered around the original toys' story or be a way to introduce new TOYS & their stories.. Since toys don't age facially it's like they can conceivably be around forever so (with some creative writing of course) the possibilities are endless! Also think you missed what Forky represented & feeling like he replaced Woody.. Technically Forky wouldn't EXIST without Woody & bcuz of that & making sure Bonnie still had Forky who she loved bcuz SHE created him out of trash (provided by Woody!) to comfort herself. She loved him so much bcuz he was HER baby lol! And Woody technically kept his promise to make children happy n not leave her by looking after her baby and finally convincing him to WANT to stay n make her happy! His job was done n him n Bo had big things to do.. hell in a minute kids ain't gon give a shit about NO toys n that'll be a new story in and of itself 😂🥰
