Mitch Coob

KPop Demon Hunters 🎤 Girl w/ Dragon Tattoo 🐉 Friday Night Lights 🏈 Alice in Borderland ♦️ Bourne Ultimatum 🕵🏻‍♂️ Better Call Saul 💼 Oceans Twelve 🎰 Butterfly Effect 🦋 OldBoy (2003) 👊🏽 Knives Out 🔪 Prey 🏹

Edgar Gonzalez

Let's get it! To be honest, I never understood what was so great about this movie. Great special effects of course, but the story isn't something we haven't seen before. Nevertheless, the movie is entertaining, has great action and Mr. Video is reacting to it. So I'm excited to watch it.

Michael

Omg yessss fuck yeah I can’t wait to watch this later!!!! This gonna be so good this world is so damn beautiful and immersive this is truly a masterpiece of cgi and technology and can’t wait for the second part! Thank you man and stay litty y’all!’

Kevin Landon

This is a top 5 movie for me, can't wait for part 2 reaction and then 3 in December!

Zen-Aku

Wasn't expecting this one but i'm here for it 🔥🤙. Think I actually saw this once in theaters and in 3-D lol very trippy 😵‍💫😯

EZ

Who else got jump scared thinking it was the live action avatar the Airbender movie

Chris H

GOAT! Feelin good!

☆C~H~A~N~D~L~E~R☆

Love ya Leo.. gonna go ahead and pass on this one tho.. ready for Saw 3. Hope to see some Halloween reactions in the future.

C

lets go!

Michael

🤣🤣

Michael

Yeah exactly it is a simple concept and story it’s mainly the advancement in technology and creating a fully cgi world and making it come it life. He had this idea way back in the 80s I believe and once he saw what they did with Sméagol in lord of the rings he began to work on this because he saw how believable and real a fully cgi character could be now other than that yeah it’s a simple movie but just don’t extremely well I think.

Michael

Sameeeeee

Pedro Cordero

Does anyone know if he is going to continue with the marvel movies? Or is it because he didnt watch all the shows?

fire_chief🌿🔥🌬️😶‍🌫️

Matt Damon got offered the role of Jake sully and 10% of this film profit to which estimates about $250 million. But, he declined the role cause was filming the Bourne ultimatum at the time and didn't feel or want leave his crew.

Rhoda J

Damn right it’s a long ass movie 😂 thought you’d never get to this 👍 very captivating one of my favourites, loved the intro Leo you can serenade me anytime 🎶, hope everything is good in your neck of the woods, stay safe out there! 𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓮 𝓨𝓸𝓾 💕

Rhoda J

For soooo…. Long , wishes do come true 👍😂😂😂😂😂

Rhoda J

I do enjoy the special effects it’s captivating, Leo’s reaction should be worth it 👍💕

Edgar Gonzalez

Well yeah, but did this movie do as well as it did on just the CGI alone? The story is very similar to "pocahontas" when you think about it. And don't forget that this is the best selling film of all time, I mean it beat "Titanic" This movie came out in 2009, so there is probably to use in thinking about it now i guess. Still this movie was a BLAST watching it in theaters when it came out!

berk henkel

The second one is amazing as well! Very amazing seeing these on the big screen but the visuals still hit on anything really

TJ Harrington

Oh snap we gettin into the Blue Peoples movies, okie dokie lemon squeezy (sorry, I can’t think of a good rhyme)

Vito

You gotta check out dances with wolves. This is a straight up rip off of that movie.

Adam(Anti)

Thanks Leo! I know you love holding off on these 3 hours ones 🤣. We appreciate it!

Jessica

For a second I thought you forgot our song 😂 you had me there for a second. You know we have to have our what’s going on song over here 😂

Kenny H

That'd be awesome

Benny Boy

Without a doubt you gotta check out the second one and don't cheat yourself out and go see the 3rd one in theaters.

MattyIce

When is Leo playing more games with Jigsaw John Kramer? Hopefully soon just in time for spooky season.

Cody Jado

Might have to watch this one in parts lmao forgot how long it was

38Dii

Wdf i was literally thinking if you would react to this earlier and this popped up woww

bionikl

When it came out in the cinemas it was most beautiful this you could see !! Waiting now for second one i didnt actually watched... and sure third one!

janscrazy

If you like Avatar. You'd love Dances with Wolves. It's basically the same plot lol. Both great movies.

DarnedStingray8

You can say what you want about the story, but this movie is breathtaking to this day.

Huniii

Aw hell yea finally

AJ Anderson

Day 1 of asking you to watch Chronicle (2012)

Sidthesloth97

I agree! Both movies are definitely forgettable, can’t believe the second is over 3 hours!

Zach Greenleaf

Leo, you should watch DANCES WITH WOLVES. Directed by and starring Kevin Costner. See if you notice any similarities with Avatar

HyRax

CCH Pounder!!

Gary DeRosa

Another James Cameron movie and my fave is TITANIC! if you never saw it you must. all your preconceived notions about it like "its a chick flick" should be thrown out the window and just say to yourself James Cameron made it so it will be amazing !! do it ! BTW james made Avatar as a trilogy as one big story like lord of the rings or star wars. so dont worry 2 is great and 3 comes out in december.

Koala

Canadian director James Cameron's love letter to Native Americans. Ironically they hated it, despite the fact "Avatar" presents the most positive, worshipful portrayal of Natives ever made. The Natives are mad that James, a white man, tried to help them with a movie while he profited as well. Which is itself a perfect encapsulation of the problem. This is not a movie that celebrates people helping each other. This movie is not about the unification of peoples and cultures. It's a movie that presents one culture as evil and the other culture as both superior and victim. Even their bodies are superior. An accurate portrayal, as that's how Natives see themselves. They believe their culture is superior to this unnatural capitalist Western culture, but also victims of it. They want help, lots of help, but they'll still hate James for being white and making money while he helps them. Humanity and the Na'vi could have worked together, benefited each other. A message of anti-racism and multiculturalism. But mutual benefit is never the point of this movie. The Na'vi didn't need humanity's help. With anything. The only problems the Na'vi have are created by the evil humans. This movie presents the Na'vi as good, but they are not multicultural. They don't want to mix with other races. That's the subtle genius of "Avatar." It allows a culture that hates humanity to seem friendly, because Jake is no longer human. The only way to get on the good side of the Na'vi is to literally become a Na'vi, in culture and body. They don't like anything else, and the events of the movie support them in that attitude. James made this movie that supports Natives in thinking it's right for them to be hateful toward Western people and Western culture, and his reward was being hated for being a white Western director.

D-Matrix

Ive only watched this movie twice, both times was because a girl wanted to watch it. I downloaded the Extendo Roll but this might be my 1st time paying attention. Ahh well. Time to grab several snacks

Mack

Lol I'm a Southern California Native American and I didn't hate the film I liked it a lot so calm down.

EZ

Leo it's SiGourney not Sijourney lol

Koala

I can provide links, or you can look it up yourself. There are calls for boycotts and plenty of name-calling thrown at James Cameron and these movies from many groups of Indigenous people. Most prominent of all is calling James a perpetrator of "white saviour complex" for trying to help whilst white.

SpicyRikers

VERY good choice leo thank you man

Mack

I don't care and I already know the story those Natives don't speak for a lot of people I know from different tribes including myself. Tired of those political correct extremists that have to ruin it for everyone else with there boohoo attitudes. I know all about the boycotts and A LOT of Natives hated the fact they changed the Washington Redskins football name because of political correct BS garbage I'm not a fan of them but that's BS. So don't single out the "NATIVES" for things you don't fully understand.

38Dii

somebody shoot colonel !!

SimplySteph215

Ok fine… let’s spend the next 3 hours together 🙄😂 Didn’t see this for my night but I got my vape ✅ dinner ✅ snacks ✅ I’m ready

SimplySteph215

For anyone who feels like answering… Who’s the better director, James Cameron or Steven Spielberg?

Koala

It is Natives calling for boycotts, is it not? You say I don't understand, but you didn't argue any point about the movie. You represent some Natives that don't hate James or "Avatar." That's great, and I'll remember that. But nothing I said was wrong. Remember also that James is himself Canadian, and he was inspired mainly by the Lakota. Maybe attitudes are different around Southern California. I'd be curious to know if you love Western capitalist culture and don't think a traditional pantheistic communal culture is better.

Mister Lou

Avatar 2 is GREAT! I LOVE IT! 3 is on the way! James said that he only wants to make Avatar movies from now on... I can't believe through out this whole film you haven't mentioned Titanic,, have you not seen it? if so, we need to correct that error! also check out Dances With Wolves, I know you'll like it.

abz

2 is great. Maybe not the same roller coaster but another 3 hours on Pandora is a wild ride, the story is generational, expanding. pt 3 is about to drop in theatres, and Cameron has announced pt 3 and 4. All in the saga will be epic. Never bet against James MF Cameron!

Violet

Hi, Leo! I hope you check out the second Beavis and Butthead movie! I remember you laughing your ass off and the new one is just as funny! Beavis and Butthead Do the Universe!! Also it's been a while since the last chick flick. Drop Dead Gorgeous, Bridesmaids and The Heat are all HILARIOUS! Hope you're having a great week!!

Michael

Also thank you so much for watching the extended edit, it does add a lot for the characters and you definitely need to watch part 2 its not like just another sequel or anything its literally just more of james cameron more of the world more of the universe he has created and man IT LOOKS AMAZING it came out 10+ years later and just yeah its an amazing movie as well trust! Cant wait for it, dont sleep on it.

Violet

Steven Spielberg has Jurassic Park, Minority Report, War of the Worlds. I think he is the better director. James Cameron is definitely a good director, but Spielberg is THE director.

DHFHades

this movie was AMAZING in 3D. now we need to get him to watch Fern Gully, Dances with Wolves, and Pocahontas...all the same basic story.

Violet

These movies are fun. The Hunger Games movies are also a big, insanely popular franchise! The Hunger Games aren't a goofy CGI fest, though. They rely more on acting, and plot, instead of taking a plot that's been recycled several times and turning it blue.

Stefan Williams

Nay-Titty gotta be your best wrong name yet

Cayley

❤️

astrobuckshot

Evil Dead 2 (1987) would be a great October movie for Halloween.

Cayley

How nice is that shirt 😎.

Josh Minke

as someone who is paralysed myself. seeing Jake been able to walk and run for the first in a long time, always brings a tear to my eye

Chaos T

Steven Spielberg and it's not even close imo. He directed "Saving Private Ryan" and got robbed from his accolades due to Harvey Weinstein's mob tactics behind the scene. The Academy Awards for the films released in 1998 was one of the most blatant examples of Hollywood backroom politics instead of awards winners getting those awards for their merit. However, Spielberg's masterpiece is "Schindler's List" and to this day is legitimately a top ten film in the 130ish years of cinema. I don't know if there's such thing as a perfect film but if there is, "Schindler's List" qualifies.

under tyranny

Hunger games is child’s play compared to this masterpiece. Plus it completely stole its idea from Battle Royale which is a FAR better film than any of the Hunger Games movies.

under tyranny

Please don’t hesitate to watch Avatar 2. We are talking about James Cameron here. The guy who directed 2 of the greatest sequels of ALL TIME. T2 and Aliens. He’s got it lol. You will see where he put that budget for sure. He is so passionate about this project too because it’s about the protecting the environment and protecting native tribes so he plans to only do these for the time being. Avatar 3 drops in December while 4 and 5 are in production at the same time. He plans to put the earnings towards preserving nature. Also while on the topic of $ the true box office king is Gone With The Wind when adjusted for inflation. But since avatar came out in 2009 it’s total gross today would be closer to $4,056,000,000 which is still about a half a billion behind gone with the wind. What helped boost Avatars number is that it was a lot of imax and 3d tickets which are more expensive than a standard one and it has had multiple re-releases in theatres.

Cayley

Couple of things so far: - When trees are close to each other they are connected through something called The Mycelium Network. - There is some belief that human hair is an antenna that acts as a receiver for electromagnetic or spiritual energy.

Diablos Cafe

Man I can only imagine, I wish there was some simulator that can give you guys that feeling that everyone takes for granted

The Joy

Avatar movies on an IMAX screen are freaking beautiful. As much as I love your reactions, you need to experience this on a huge screen so maybe the 3rd one for you.

Kathryn Brooks

My mom loves this movie so much she went to see it a couple times when it came out and bought the whole blue ray 3d set back when 3d TVs were a thing. She loved the spiritual aspect of the movie the most.

SimplySteph215

Ok I vote Spielberg too but I get why someone might say Cameron. He definitely makes incredible blockbusters but I think Spielberg’s storytelling across multiple genres is on a whole different level!

SimplySteph215

Lmao! Everytime I yelled suh GOR nee not journey!! 😂

SimplySteph215

Has Leo ever watched or reacted to Green Mile or Misery? I can’t wait for Avatar 2

Cayley

Money is the root of all evil sadly.

esrA eloH

Why do some people just cut the damn credits like the design of the soundtrack outro is no part of the experience

NeptuneBaby

I RAN TO CLICK WHEN I SAW THIS NOTIF! I’m so glad you loved this film, and in my opinion, Avatar 2 is (almost) just as good! Jame Cameron did NOT fail us! 🩵

Lynsey Chamberlain

A masterpiece movie! There is a ride at Disney Worlds Animal Kingdom where you ride on the back of a banshee, it is beautiful, the music brings a tear to my eye everytime!

Kluneberg

i hope you get to Avatar 2 sooner rather than later. selfishly tho cuz i haven't seen 2 yet and would like to since 3 comes out soon. i saw the 1st one 17 years ago in theaters now they're back to back lol

Kluneberg

to save data space. credits can go on for mins and thats takes up gb. some reactors do usually let it run as they talk about the movie they just dont add the 2nd screen for the same data reason.

Kluneberg

battle royale isnt original either. stephen kings The Long Walk is from 1979. similar concepts. also avatar=dances with wolves.

Kluneberg

spielbergs directing style varies and thats why hes able to make so many great movies different from each other. james cameron is james cameron but T2 and True Lies look similar.

Kathryn Brooks

Avatar was a big deal when it dropped I’m surprised you never seen it. And when 2 dropped it was very highly anticipated and didn’t disappoint. I just like that all the avatar movies drop around my birthday and on my birthday each time (12/19) I went to see it.

Kathryn Brooks

Ms Zoe Saldana is in the top 3 highest grossing movies of all time

under tyranny

I know avatar is very similar to Dances with wolves and even Ferngully, I was just pointing out that she shouldn’t be so harsh on the recycled plot since even what she suggested was recycled plot/concept.

Chris

Re: 2, it's not like Cameron waited 10 years and then said "eh, let's go back to that well and cash a check." He wanted to make 2 from the jump, it just took him 15 years because he was literally inventing the filming technology to do it. Definitely way more than an opportunity for him to get a bag!

EZ

His name is James, James Cameron The bravest pioneer No budget too steep, no sea too deep Who's that? It's him, James Cameron James, James Cameron explorer of the sea With a dying thirst to be the first Could it be? Yeah that's him! James Cameron! Keep watching South Park and you'll get it

theOutcast

Ehh she posts the same request on every video. Usually leading in with either flattery towards Mr video or some loose connection before segueing into hunger games lol. So many spammers here. You are right tho about the recycled plots.

Ryan Bellefleur

BROOO soooo many game of thrones references you made in this movie reaction!! Youre craving more and you dont even know it... so finally watch HOUSE OF THE DRAGON 🐉

Maxaveli

We need way of water too! Also a masterpiece

jaynguin

I saw this right in the midst of learning about my Native American history, it wasn't offered to me much when i was growing up. So when I saw this, especially the battle where the Na'vi started getting overwhelmed I was crying tears of FURY lol. WAY to reminiscent of things I read and stories I've been told. I know it has roots in African lines too but my word so much of this was giving me flashbacks to things the older members of my family told me. If you really want an emotional rollercoaster Leo, I'd recommend Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee. Inspirational, heartbreaking, infuriating, and so much more!

Chaos T

I agree with you. If someone likes Cameron better I get it. He knows the formula for a good blockbuster. Making a blockbuster film while trying to balance out meaningful drama is something a lot of film makers fail at doing while Cameron is a master. Where Cameron is at the top is his contribution to the technical side of film and the technology. He brings visuals and filming techniques that seem to be ahead of its time. T2 is over 30 years old yet those special effects still hold up really well imo.

Michael

He used to bask in the endings of game of thrones all the time so i know its not because he doesnt care so yeah mainly just space and editing reasons like kluneberg said either way i feel you. Some endings have the greatest soundtracks to compliment the emotions of an ending and yeah just feels good haha.

kfrex84

Leo!! Did you know this movie came out in IMAX 3D?? Everyone in 2009 had the glasses on, and everything was POPPING off the IMAX screen at us. Crazy times 🤩

Benjamin

Watch way of water bro it's solid

Nathan

just got done watching this, great reaction. you gotta watch the second man. James wants 5 avatar's total!! lol. and it wasnt a second hand thought it was the idea from the jump to have it a years long spanning series

Kyle Wernke

Listen I love avatar so much they in my top but everyone wants to know where is saw 3 and the rest?

Alice Delgado

you're going to have to. Avatar 3 comes out this christmas!

Mace Windu33

You can still watch the 3D version if you get 3d glasses and look up the 3d version

Mitch Coob

Nay’Tiddy tho 😂

Violet

You would LOVE the Star Trek 2009 reboot franchise!!! You'd LOVE the plot, cast, special effects, action and how it connects to the original!!!

Wyatt Matheson

Top 3 All Time Fav Movies for me. Hell Yeah!

RM

Hahaha “James should’ve left it at 1” James said hold my purse😂 not only did he come out with a second amazing movie but we’re getting the 3rd later this year! And I think he plans on making 6 or 7 movies. Not to mention he waited about 12 years in between the first film and the second, so you can only imagine the technology in the second film. Love ur reaction and can’t wait for u to jump into the second one.

Valarie Stewart

yes, now Way of the Water which is another banger!

Michael

Yeah i enjoy those movies they are a lot of fun.

Mitch Coob

Need that Way of Water drop expeditiously!

Steve Matthews

Yeah, go for Avatar: Way of Water, my guy. Seriously, it's like a 12 year later movie too, so whilst this film was beautiful you can kinda, almost see it dated, based off modern standards and it will become clear when you see the new one. The sequel is great. You won't regret it because it follows the perfect sequel formula of expanding the world already built.

Channell

Aye bro drop sum

Ryan Buckley

I know you do the Fast&Furious every 6 months, but it’s been 11 months without Fast8

Sara Croughan

This is hands down my favorite film of all time. I cried I rejoiced I got angry etc. It gave me every emotion you could think of. In the second one honestly, is right up there. I loved it. No matter what anybody says it's phenomenal and you will agree and thankfully we have a third one coming soon

Sara Croughan

Your reaction was incredible. Leo. I love how vulnerably emotional you got because I was the same way my first time watching. I was fortunate enough to watch this on a big screen in the theater so it was just perfection. My second favorite film is Titanic so that says a lot about James Cameron. Definitely looking forward to you reacting to the second film

Sara Croughan

I looked up if the actors made extra money because this movie did so well and this is what it said: Yes, the actors made extra money from the high box office performance of Avatar through their backend deals. While the main cast received their initial salaries, the film's unprecedented success allowed the director, James Cameron, and likely the actors to benefit from significant profit participation, a common practice for blockbuster films where talent receives a percentage of the earnings.

Violet

Hi, Leo! Hope you're having a good day! It has been so long since you've done any Star Trek and there was a reboot done in 2009 with an incredible cast amazing special effects and a lot of ties to the original, I know you would love it! It's got a ton of action and it's so well done!! You should also check out the second Beavis and Butthead movie It's called Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe and I know you would laugh your ass off!! Drop Dead Gorgeous or First Wives Club would be great choices for the next chick flick!!

GenericStatue

Can't wait to see your reaction to the sequel, it's just as good in my opinion.

Alf Stewart

Great reaction, brought back a lot of the feelings from my first viewing back in theatres

Dodger Blue 311

You have to have a 3D tv as well, which isn't really a thing anymore. 3D plasmas were pretty popular 15 years ago, but it could be hard to find a new 3D tv nowadays.

Dodger Blue 311

It's not pronounced "Seh-Journey-Nee Weaver". It's pronounced "Seh-Gur-Nee Weaver".

Dodger Blue 311

Terminator Salvation is really good! You should watch it.

The Joy

okay so just finished this reaction and hearing your views at the end i think you should really watch the second one in the cinema, here in the UK they're showing it again. Have a look online if they are any around you, and also make sure you watch it on the biggest screen (IMAX) and in 3D. You won't regret it!

Tony

Wow just got reminded how great of a film this is! Haven’t watched since in theater’s years ago!! Now on to the next 2 movies Leo!

D-Matrix

Extended cut is always the go to if its an option. Why purposely watch a movie thats "less than" or not 100%? I mean we'd feel upset if we paid for Patreon only to get the same cut up edited version we'd see on youtube. Now when time is an issue, I understand, but this movie is long even without the extendo shots. So may as well strap in for the ride.

Suzanne Anderson

Love anything with Sigourney Weaver and Giovanni Rabisi!!

Feels

This was actually better then i thought it would be.

Shane Normand

No it’s pronounced sick-horny beaver

The Irish Buddhist

I remember seeing this in the theaters all those years ago... seeing it again for the first time in this many years, with a new prospective I found it to be much better than I remember.

Robert Miller

There is a reason I saw this 3 times in the theaters. Crazy good movie and CGI.

T Rex

Awesome movie!

Izumi_The_Neko

Come here from YouTube. Says the video is unavailable

Emilysr97

Same for me. "Sorry. This video does not exist"

Ariannah

I bought patreon to watch this with you and it's unavailable 🥲

Ariannah

ikk I'm actually so sad abt this

Maxwell

It doesn't work, shame, I subscribed just for this.

RiRi

Brooo I subscribed for this movie. What happened?

Zally bee

Can u fix the movie, i just subed to watch it and it doesn't work ;^;
