Dustin and Steve brings tears and joy. Love the two characters, the broship is strong with those two. I also enjoyed the scene with Jonathan and Nancy. The first 4 episodes this season I was not impressed with. Season 4 is still top tier in my books, but seeing 5-7 I'm hooked again, aside from some characters i couldn't care about. Episode 8 better be a masterpiece of a conclusion. I know they mention a main character will be dying (from what i read), if i had to choose it would be Steve, at least to me, it would be the biggest lose and impact on an emotional end. His character growth from season 1 till now has been amazing. Other characters i could see going as well. Guess we'll find out next week. Meantime happy holidays all and great reaction man! Cheers

When El nodded her head yes to Kali that was her saying she’s on board with Kali’s plan to stay behind after everyone’s saved and their brother’s dead. They plan on ending their own lives but I don’t trust Kali. Something is off about her and I think she has a hidden agenda.

The duffer brothers have now came out and said that the Nancy and Jonathan scene was actually a break up scene, so they aren't together anymore I did not even think it was that I thought it was all said because they thought they were going to die! That's why Jonathan tossed the ring, for me watching it back it still doesn't seem like a break up scene to me.

That's because it's not, they clearly can't write worth a shit, they've just strung this out with so much filler it's mind numbing. That scene was indeed the polar opposite of a breakup, that was them clearing the air, all the shit they didn't say to the other. They have a ton of good ideas, but writing long form drama is clearly not their in their wheelhouse, if I couldn't skip through the lenghty bits of nothing that they have to jam into so many episodes just to squeeze as many seasons as they can out of it, there's no way I'd ever have watched this. It's such a shame, this could've been a masterpiece, instead it's barely passable. I mean wtf have they done with 8, there's barely any character development there, am I supposed to feel something for her, I'd be perfectly happy if she just got hit by a bus, even though she is probably right with erasing all traces of them, they almost couldn't have done a better job of making me just not care 1 single bit about that or anything her character says.

I just personally think it’s an insult to the intelligence of its viewers. Recently rewatched season 1 and remembered why so many liked this show in the first place. If you watch it and then this season it’s like 2 totally different shows. Unfortunately a lot has changed in the decade it’s taken to make this 40 episode show lmao. Just personally not a fan of how they are letting this play out, like at all. But that shouldn’t deter anyone from enjoying it. Just my personal opinion and I’m still watching so hey it’s working lol, I’ll be there for the finale. Have been waiting a decade for this after all.

C'mon finale! 5 days seems like an ETERNITY now!! Holy 💩! I have cried, laughed, and been scared more in volume 2 than the whole rest of the show! I can't wait to see how this all ends. I don't trust Kali AT ALL. I think she's has ill intentions and is on the side of the bad guys. She wants to punish Eleven for leaving her before.

Ngl rewatching with you made me appreciate this volume a little more. I already thought it was good but those two drawn out scenes were necessary for what’s coming next. Holly will for sure use what Max told her in the finale and Will coming out and being accepted by his loved ones means he no longer has fear and can go with his move, defeating Vecna.

I love that scene with Max and Holly. It was so perfect and the perfect length too. Max was not about to leave Holly's side until Holly was calm and confident. Holly was crying and it would have put Max in such a bad light if Holly had been crying and she had just pretty much said "peace out. I'm leaving and you can figure this shit out on your own". Max cares about other people. She put Holly's safety above her own in that moment and it was completely necessary. That scene was perfectly written and acted. I also don't think that Max was in much danger from Vecna considering that Karen had destroyed those demodogs and also Vecna couldn't get to them because they reached this exit through a memory that Vecna was scared to access.

well if you really wanna know.... basically season 1 we have this show about what essentially boils down to a mothers grief and how the community deals with this. its heartfelt, its isolated (small town), no save the world bs, its powerful, full of mystery, winona ryder at the center (i dont know if you remember but when this show was announced she was THE NAME attached, it was her show and she was FANTASTIC) its the reason so many people fell in love with the show in the first place. Without that opening season it wouldnt have been picked up for another, we know this. I feel like most people would agree nothing really lives up to that first one but anyways cut to season 5. Winonas character has been completely sidelined, youve got this marvelification of what was (once again) a small town story about a mothers grief. 10-15 characters all moving towards this goal of stopping the 'big bad' which seems to never come. Characters constantly having to explain what is happening as if the viewer is not paying attention. Which in the case of Netflix their executives have specifically told writers who work on movies/tv on their platform that they need to cater to what they call "second screen viewers" (which is a real thing look that up) basically meaning Netflix knows that most people are watching their platform while also scrolling on their phone so writers need to shove exposition down your throat in the most obvious forms so even if youre not paying attention you can keep up. This show, with so much going on and so many characters to keep track of, obviously suffers greatly. I could go on and on but i dont think you really want to hear that and i really do not feel like continuing typing all this out but if youre curious about what else i guess dont be afraid to ask 😂 TLDR its not what it used to be, got way to big for its boots, sidelined its most interesting characters, among a litany of other small nit-picky grievances.

Steve had so much promise as a character, i was baffled they still pulled out the love triangle this season, and then milked it. I couldnt care less about Nancy and Jonathan's relationship as i find them both unbearable at this point. The show has some great moments but the writing has clearly fallen off a cliff

Mrs wheeler saved her babies friends but her friends babies! The way she reacted when she seen the lights she was obviously traumatised but when she heard robin and heard her mention Lucas and max she didn't think for a second she just acted! I loved seeing the whole group together again the duffer brothers did say it was their last chance to get all the characters together in one room for the last time! So I'm guessing the scene were they are coming up with a plan was the last time we see all of them together.

YES! I think they people forgot its a story and these kids are the main people in the story and all the dialogue is very much needed for them to face whatever they need to in the finale! You are so right as in a time when its most needed Holly will use what max told her maybe to help the other kids while vecna is busy fighting with the group? She knows now that you don't need music to get out.
