the government trying to communicate to the router is a reference to the Steven Spielberg movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) but the scene also looks similar to the movie Stargate (1994). edit: also the black and white californee way is a reference to the book/movie The Grapes of Wrath.

this is a great episode 🤣 maaan it reminds me how one time i had to switch internet providers so i was without internet for like 3 days and its crazy how small you feel when you have no internet its seriously fucked up how having no internet can mess you up emotional and physical 😬 crazy , nah but its also a generational thing i grew up with no internet and when it did start coming around i was too poor to have it or a computer so you bet your ass im from that generation will that i will say shit to your face 👊🏽 actions have consequences! but there's a whole generation of fake people that grew up online with the safety of being behind their computer thinking they are tough or thinking they're important or all kinds of weird shit ,but i do love one thing about the internet i dont dont have to talk to anyone 🤣

Leo, what you said at the end made so much sense. It is weird how it is nowadays. Just trying to strike up a conversation with someone in person. I still try to do it because I enjoy talking to people, but I also noticed that people have gotten way too comfortable being inappropriate and disgusting online, for example ,You have someone that joined your patreon that I reported because he wrote the most disgusting inappropriate thing on one of my comments from last year. I can't even repeat what he wrote. It was that bad. His name is "The Apocalex" I just know that you care about your subscribers, especially the people that are on your patreon and I want you to know how absolutely offended and disgusted I am by that person. I reported him so hopefully something's done but it was so awful 😞. I know it's not your fault but I just wanted you to know.. And I got thick skin. I've had some people say things to me but what he wrote was too much. And he just wrote it like 10 minutes ago and it was from an episode of The office season 3 episode 18 from June of last year

I love your message at the end. I know I already left a comment from a while ago, but I rewatched this and I agree with you 100% about people needing to spend more time around other people and off the internet. I'm a social person. I always have been but in the last few years I have spent way too much time online and it's making me isolate more and more uncomfortable around other people. Now I'm more awkward and people don't even look at each other anymore. Okay. It's like we're all on autopilot. So I'm going to intentionally notice people today and say hello and have a great day. Because I'd rather have real relationships than parasocial and a good example is you Leo. I feel like I know you because I've been following you for a few years now, but you do not know me at all. You've opened a door into your life through these reactions so we all feel like we know you but you are not watching stuff from us all the time so it's just a one way relationship and that can't be healthy. Because at the end of the day me and you are not friends and you do not know me even though I feel like I absolutely love you as a friend. I really don't know you. There's something really twisted about online friendships and I need to go out and touch some grass as they say lol. This is not going to stop me from watching your content obviously, but it's definitely a wake-up call
