Edward Williams

You should watch Eddie Griffin Dysfunctional family

Edgar Gonzalez

Nothing against the stand up comedy of legend comedians. But Mr. Video you already have a log of movies to finish. Maybe you should finish those first... Unless you picked stand up comedy movies to replace the spot of Cobra Kai now that you have finished it. It's a possibility 🤔

Stef Furness

Loooove George Carlin 🔥💙 you will get quite the education going through his specials. 🥂✌️

Sabrena S

Carlin was crazy smart and funny. Love ya Leo!💚

dmh killah

Summer Tyme and Mr J

Doing it Again is my favorite... You're all Diseased and It's Bad for Ya are good as well as his USC set from the 70's.

Nathan

Carlin is fun but not one of my favorites personally. Check out those other Chappelle standups

Robin Williams Live on Broadway is a classic for your list 🔥

Stef Furness

This one and It's Bad for Ya are my favorites, and the Modern Man opener from Life is Worth Losing is stellar.

Blade

I wish George was still alive today. He would have a lot to say haha

Jim

George is one of the greatest, no doubt.

Al

I usually don’t comment but George Carlin my favorite comedian of all time. I’m not even white lol but this guy was comedy gold. I think he started in 1947 and began to blow up around 1960 earning about 250,000 a year which was like over a million back then. He eventually left Hollywood and traded in the money for a more reserved career taking an incredible pay cut from 250,000 a year to 10,000. Fast forward to his final special in 2008 before his passing and he still remained a comedic genius as a writer and performer.

Brian McG

Holy fucking shit, my dude. Fucking love Carlin, man! Definitely gonna watch the other drops tonight and get good and stoned before this one. Much appreciate, brother!

RavenLord

I have *no* idea how you're going to manage to edit George Carlin of all people for YouTube. 🤣 Good luck with that! I was introduced to the comedy of George Carlin thanks to having much older siblings, and I was only about 6 or 7 years old. My siblings had a record of one of his routines, and I listened to it in entirety, way before I could understand what he was talking about. They had Cheech & Chong, too. Awww, memories! I still don't know how my parents didn't realize that I was listening to R-rated comedy routines. 😛

Jordan

Carlin is such a legend. Heck yeah

Alice Delgado

you want a good George Carlin special? watch Complaints and Grievances!

Rhoda J

George died in 2008 at the age of 71 years of cardiac arrest RIP , Brain droppings and AM FM were Grammy Award worthy that he won actually 5 Grammys in all , great stuff 💕🫶🏼💕

Sharpgirl

Whenever someone asks me what side of politics I fall on.... I always lead with... "I agree with George Carlin. If they know, they know. If they don't, I have them watch his skit on government.

DRIP DROP

I was thinking about putting that in the recommendation in the discord yesterday.

I used to think George was a genius. When I was 16. Now I think he's just a good comedian. To his credit, I still use his definition of comedy. He described it as three elements: surprise, relatability, and absurdity. That's true. George also said his comedy sounds like a political lecture, but really he's only trying to make people laugh. That's good, because as a political lecture, it's very poor. George was wrong about a lot. There's more to international conflicts than dick fear, literal or figurative. The media has more corrupting influences than just the government. Social issues are not all orchestrated by the upper class. The homeless don't just need houses, they have other problems. Environmentalists don't just care about their own habitat being clean and convenient. When they say "save the planet" they don't mean the spherical rock, nor do they mean just themselves as precious white bourgeois liberals. The Earth has not been through something like us before. The Earth is not a self-correcting system, just look at all the other dead planets around it. Leo even served as a counter example himself. You will find Blacks on golf courses, and not just carrying trays, and not just rich ones. Carlin, if taken seriously, was the early stage of the safe anti-establishment, anti-American leftism. Blame men. Blame the rich. Blame whites. Long gone are the days when that position was brave, held by the mavericks and free thinkers. What might have seemed vaguely challenging in 1992 has become the safest political position of all. And how has the world fared as a result? Do you feel the world is any better now? Or worse? Less stupid? Less poor? Less divided? Less racist? Nope. Carlin's politics are commonplace now and look what's happened. He even leans into it and says he likes chaos for the entertainment, when all systems collapse and society goes to shit. He can say it was just a joke (was it?) but people really hold these opinions and they're achieving the collapse, the acceleration towards civilization's death, that they're asking for. Call it a "return to nature" but it's the death of civilization. And hence the evil of Carlin's pantheism. He gives a positive spin to us only being here "for a little while" before we return to nothingness in the wise plan of the Great Electron. Maybe in 1992 it was so surprising, relatable, and absurd that it was funny. It's not so surprising or absurd anymore, and it's too relatable. I, for one, don't want us to collapse into chaos then disappear from the Earth.

VYV77

Not sure if you recognized George from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (Rufus). Maybe it's finally time for Bogus Journey?

Joshua Murphy

Carlins the GOAT! Great choice to start off with! Any special after this is a banger as well. He has some brilliant bits

GlobeTrekker

wow...can't believe how relevant this still is today!

Randy

We need a Mr. Golf YouTube channel.

Felicia Wiggins

I hope u got an 'A' on that paper, sheesh! 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously tho, and ironically too considering we're talking about a comic, so much of what u said about politics I probly agree with. However, outside of writing a dissertation dissecting the jokes of 30+ yr old comedy special and its future role in having no substantial effect on politics or political outcomes for a grade or a prize, I dont get it! The purpose of a comedy special is, or so I thought, to make us laugh - no matter the formula/recipe u choose to follow, right? EVERYONE seemed to do so freely & wholeheartedly (incl you at one point too) sooo... mission accomplished no.? 🤔 I think George had alot more in the bag than politics. It was a lot of staying the obvious (driveway vs parkway) every day shit a la Seinfeld as some say. TBH I'm more concerned about the moral compass of ppl who look to their favorite comedians for their political advice instead of JOKES! They are entertainers who've mastered the ART of making ppl laugh, NOT (usually) scholars running for political office n needs your vote sooo ... I have laughed my ass of at inappropriate shit or some shit I fundamentally disagreed with all bcuz I understood embraced the concept of comedy was to make me laugh PERIOD! 😂😂😂

Kevin Bernard

I thought there was another bit about kids 🤔 Oh well... W Upload, and reaction. How he feels about the "pre" words is how I feel today about "AI" being put into everything now like we didn't know that the Internet was already intelligent, but what people are forgetting is that ALL the knowledge, and everything it has is because of US And the reason people are so slow compared to back then is because they rely too much on the quick answers from our phones instead of storing it in our heads like we used too. I won't get into the other stuff George said, because he had bars for fuckin years, and I've been a fan of his before I even knew he did stand up. When I first seen this he was the first white comedian I thought that did not suck... He was talking serious shit like a black comedian, and making it funny... Only white comedian I think that's as funny or even funnier is Bill Burr... There's a few more I've seen, but those the two that get me the most💯 Anyway...✌🏾

Felicia Wiggins

Feel free to grade for content - hell mine was as long as urs!! 🤣🤣🤣

CaptNRetro

look up Bill Hicks next

sb

"This Is For Sam" is referring to Sam Kinison who was killed by a drunk driver that year (1992).

Whitehorse49

Back in Town (1996) is also a good George Carlin special. Could you please have a go at Eddie Murphy Raw and Kevin Hart: I’m a Grown Little Man?

D

Loving the standup comedy

Cayley

❤️

Michael

Yeah man it’s wild the shit is still relevant thats what makes him great and others like him who don’t give a fuck and tell it like it is, either way hell yeah good reaction this was a great one for sure. We’re here for plastic 🤣🤣 but yeah man Hes great always makes you question and essentially laugh at the absurdity of life it’s brilliant and we are all apart of it. He brings us together no matter who you are. Because we are only here for a little while so might as well laugh and enjoy eachothers madness.

BigT423

You should check out Patrice O’Neal “Elephant In The Room”. he was on the office the first 3 seasons as one of the warehouse workers. Most notable scene imo was when Kelly called him a 1000 lb sea monster and he said “you’d like to swim with the sea monster wouldn’t you?” Then he told Ryan to tell her to shut up. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

D

I wonder what Carlin would say about today’s iphone/ screentime situation. I’m guessing he’d have some comments

Cayley

Same for me when it comes to buying bottles of water instead of drinking water from a tap!

Jordan

You gotta do some more Carlin soon he’s a brilliant dude. A lot of his specials are this good

Koala

@Victor You did the very thing yourself just now. You said it's all jokes, then you started agreeing with the politics seriously, and saying George was actually making a point. I said, George is off the hook because he did say (outside the special) that it's all just jokes. But is it a joke to you, or do you think he has a point? If you think he has a point, you can't then also say people's political opinions have not gone in his direction, as an exemplar yourself. For those that seriously think he's making a good point, I address it. I don't think I'm diminishing anything. If anyone's being reductionist, it was him. Reducing every problem down to class. Reducing the nature of the powerful people down to pure self-interest. And let's not pretend he didn't say what he said. He said he doesn't care about his country, and he used both men and white as pejoratives. It's not reductionist of me to observe that's what he did. I'm certainly no Trump fan, but both sides have a Lesser Evil Voting argument. Many people prefer a dummy like Trump over people who seriously think George made good points. Those "good points" being that they hate America, want systems to collapse in the name of revolutionary accelerationism, and think humanity's progress is a virus on the Earth. The pendulum unmistakably swung in that direction, to the point that Bernie, an avowed and committed socialist, nearly won the primary and toppled the Dem establishment on a platform very similar to George's politics. There was Carlin politics in play, and it did very well before ultimately losing. Today, there is an entire "Justice Democrat" wing of the Dem party that continues in this vein of hating America, whites, men, rich people, and capitalism. Donald Trump represented the opposite, lying notwithstanding, and he won. Biden backtracked to the "shitlib" position, and won. No matter how you slice it, Carlin's politics have grown massively in popularity on the left since 1992 and it's been ineffective at best, counter-effective at worst.

Bo Burnham What

Joanna

Thanks for reaction. "It's bad for Ya" is a great one from George.

Nicky A

Yeaa Carlin

Terrance

I love catching it on yt and comin over here ❤️

John Juan

I was fortunate enough to see him live on his final tour. Several new jokes, but since it was his last hurrah, he told several old jokes. He was such a good orator and free thinker. He reminds me of the Frank Zappa of the comedy world. Try telling these guys any different and they'll REALLY let you know what's good. This the kinda guy where if he was still around, THEY would listen to him. Please check out at least 1 more of Carlin's later specials.

Alfredo

I've seen a good number of Carlin's specials and this one is still my favorite

scwyd

Leo, There a special called "The Year of the Dragon" from Nick Mullen. No one of significance has reacted to it. im sure youd enjoy it.

Darren F.

I would love to see you react to George Carlin Back in Town. This is a very good one, though

Nicky A

Everyone says the same thing about Carlin, I've even seen some reactors call him Professor Carlin.

dmh killah

Oh i know dude. But it’ only bits. The whole special is 1 hr and 17 min and he prolly forgot half of the little bit he has seen since it was over 4yrs ago

Always loved Carlin... No fear of telling it like it is, intelligent comedy. He is missed in this world. Another great comedian to check out is Richard Pryor.

Adam(Anti)

FMA would be amazing but i feel we are a long ways away from him doing anything like that

Toe Tagger H

Nice choices in comedy recently, this one is special.

Dj Cyber Music Lover

No matter what you watch with George Carlin, you cannot go wrong!

Dj Cyber Music Lover

He learned everything from a Comedian named. Lenny Bruce. Without Lenny Bruce, there never would have been George Carlin and many others.
