The same Michael Oher who has contradicting stories based on his books and interviews.....SMH!!! If he was so against the movie, then he should have said something when the movie was being made or when he was getting all the attention and notoriety from the movie. He didn't start having issues with the Tuohy's or the movie depiction of his character until his NFL money got low and then he decided to jump on the victimhood narrative train and people fell for it....SMH!!!! Regardless, the movie is still good, and the actors all did a wonderful job.

Great movie, the cast was so good. Sandra played her tail off in this movie and earned that Oscar. Some more movie recommendations: The Prestige, Parenthood, Red, Frequency, Gone in Sixty Seconds, The Italian Job (the 2003 version), Little Giants, Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, The Saint, Out of Time, Deja Vu, Wildcats.

I will say the White savior movie trope is real, but so are a bunch of others. Like the slave movie trope. Fast forward now they're trying to erase history like slavery wasn't a bad thing. Today we DO need movies like that to exist (makes me wonder who started to trend of hating them anyways). But back to this film, its a trope like any other. May as well be a genre. I absolutely hate this movie. They wanted to give Sandra Bullock an Oscar, and since she's a mediocre actress getting by on personality, they figured a white savior movie, even if it's Hallmark quality script, would validate giving her an award. Her getting an award for this film was how it was confirmed for me that Hollywood is a giant circle-jerk. And I haven't paid a bit of attention to the Academy Awards since.

Michaels story is a story more people in this world should know about, and what a good man he is. This need for money, greed, materialistic things and awful hate for each other has got to end.

I took in a young man 19years old, about 6 years ago...I found out his mom was murdered and he was living in a tent in the woods. I dont have much, I never did, but I had an old dresser a TV with an older Playstation, an air mattress and an attic that he and I cleaned up for him. Which was warm and dry. I grew to love him like my own...didn't matter what color he was. He and I still keep in touch. He finally reconnected with his estranged dad and they have a great relationship together now❤️
