Dudicus Bolt

Violet

I'm one of the few people who cannot stand this movie but I'm so so excited for the person who has been asking for it for the last couple of months! Because I know how exciting it is when you finally do something somebody really wants. Maybe next up you can watch Star Trek 2009 ...

Daniel James

YESSSSS THIS DAY JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT BETTER!!! THANKS LEO!! 🐐

Dudicus Bolt

It was a month or so ago I realized the six fingered man was Christopher Guest.

CosmicHorror

This movie is fun! When we getting Family Guy season 2?

E

Insanely good picks lately Leo, Barbarian or I saw the devil would cool 👀

Edgar Gonzalez

Man, I love this movie...Definitely a classic 🙌

Rhoda J

I know someone has been asking for this, I haven’t seen it yet, so thanks Leo you certainly have been busy, appreciated, have a great Easter weekend LY 💕🫶🏼💕👍

MajorMayhem

James doing back flips rn

Sarahnade

omg I love the confusion with the title right off the jump lol <3

Chloe Arreola

Have you seen kpop demon hunters yet? You like music and I'm pretty sure you might like that movie

James

Thank you so much, Leo! You just made my week!

James

That's a nice way of saying "James hasn't shut up about this movie!"

James

You know it!

Rhoda J

👍🫶🏼

James

As the person, I can say I appreciate you saying so. This has been my favorite movie since I was a kid (and saw it in the theater), but my wife can't stand it either!

Nunya Business

Inconceivable! Happy Friday Leo 👍

Shep

Dearest friend, you have picked one of the best movie of the 80s.

Lisa (ShadowSong)

I'm glad you liked the writing so much. One of the most quotable (and quoted) movies for sure.

Violet

I'm so excited for you!!!!!

E

🤡

~ ChelZee ~

Classic! I came to watch The Office and watched this (for the umpteenth time) instead! I can't tell you how many times I've seen this movie and read the just-as-adorable book. One of my favorite titles for BOTH mediums - film and literature. Thank you, Leo!

Chris H

Classic Goat

JR Slander

Props on covering this classic. In my opinion, this movie is perfect at what it tried to achieve.

Nathan

Insane comment.

Soph

You replied before saying you did meet the Fockers but it’s not on the Patreon?? Please react to it

The Irish Buddhist

Cary Elwes is one heck of a talented Actor.. Since you enjoyed this one Leo, I would highly recommend 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993)', it's a Mel Brooks film with Cary Elwes. But before you must see a few of the Robin Hood films or at least 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' in which it Parody's.

Dudicus Bolt

Sucks that Wesley had to cut his foot off just to get out of the restroom. XD

James

I was wondering if he would recognize Westley or Buttercup (he reacted to Forrest Gump as well). I don't think he did though. It made me laugh when he mentioned Vizzini's lisp but didn't realize it was Rex from Toy Story either!

Pop_Pop_Taq

Classic movie here . Well done on this one

CattFink!

I'm so excited for this!!!

Saraka

Leo, its just Princess lol. Singular - not plural One princess-

Saraka

RIP Rob Reiner :(

Mairead

the book is hilarious. i read it one sitting.

CattFink!

Also, Wallace Shawn is a real one. I have incredible respect for that man. His dedication to his anti-imperialist anti-capitalist socialist values and his activism, writings, and generosity have legitimately inspired my own personal outlook. He's really funny and deserves all the applause

FranciscoU

I guess today’s the day I finally give this movie a shot. I’ve heard so many references to it in movies and tv shows, let’s see what all the hype is about. I always confused this movie with the princess diaries

Saraka

The book is great

Chris

About six months ago I was flipping through the news and was like "Oh, hey, what's Bernie (Sanders) talking about here?" It took me a good 3 minutes to realize it was Wallace Shawn... cause, you know, the words and sentiments all fit, and goodness was there a likeness...

GuRillA_RACg_102

When are you going to do some movies for the culture

Michael

HEll yeah and next we do A Knights Tale

Tyler Schnabel

Yes, tho movie did an excellent job turning the novel into a film. Rob Reiner was an amazing director. You should definitely check out Rob Reiner’s film, “This Is Spinal Tap.” It is a fictional documentary of a rock band. In the film, Rob Eeiner plays a character Marty Diburghy (I think that’s how one spells it) who calls it a “rock-umentary.” It is hilarious and has some great songs in it. Stone Hedge may be the best, or Big Bottom.

Tyler Schnabel

A book review channel would be dope. Join Booktube—as they call it—I will be there. I am a heavy reader; that is my main hobby. I only watch films on t.v. On this channel for the most part.

David Crawford

I was 6 years old when this came out and I nearly cut my index finger off trying to make a homemade sword LOL. Can't even guess as to how many times I've watched this.

Cayley

❤️

Aurora

👑 ☺️ love this movie!!!

Victor Fiegel

As you wish means I love you. His grandpa was just saying that he loved him.

abz

William Goldman is widely considered one of the best screenwriters of all time. The novel is also fun - the trick is he pretends that it's an adaptation of an older book - which it's not - Goldman just uses that as an excuse to skip all the boring parts, much like the granddad reading in the movie.

Cayley

The nearly bald guy sounds like Rex from Toy Story.

The 15

omg!!! one of my favourite films of all time, honestly

CattFink!

That's funny 😸 He's been really vocal and actively involved in a few protest movements over the last few years even. I watched an excellent interview he did on a podcast I follow... it must've been a year ago now. His message of compassion and strength through solidarity was so well given. The man truly is a treasure.

The 15

I wish you'd sit and watch the credits sometimes. This film in particular I think has such a beautiful soundtrack and it would have been nice if you'd have kept it running as ambience as you told us your thoughts on the film. This goes for a lot of other movies I've seen you do before too.

The 15

You should check out some other Rob Reiner movies you haven't seen before. When Harry Met Sally is one of the greatest love stories ever. This Is Spinal Tap is one of the funniest movies about rock and roll ever. And Misery will make your skin crawl and make you wish you never had fans / make you wish you never had fame or a following.

RedFox333

The Grandpa was just saying "I love you" to his grandson at the end, using the same phrase as Wesley.

L

‘LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE’ ONE DAY PLEASE, LEO! 😁🙏

Benjamin Herrera

Caught yourself with that "Handjob" statement haha

esrA eloH

Hmm, now I'm wondering what a 6 fingered hand job feels like. Curse my vivid imagination. Hahaha, oh man, that was so funny the way you pulled it back so quick.

~ ChelZee ~

Adorable. So fun. I'd love to see him react to it.

~ ChelZee ~

Leo's watched so many movies with twists he's reading into it! Hahaha.

~ ChelZee ~

To this day, lines from Princess Bride STILL enter conversations between my siblings and I. None of us say "marriage" without the w - mawwige. "Anyone want a peanut" comes every frickin time a peanut enters the conversation. I'd be all in for your book club! We could do book with movie adaptations. Nerd central. Let's Go!

~ ChelZee ~

I still have my copy from the 80s. Well loved and re-read multiple times. It's one of my "desert" books - just need a taste once in a while! I don't even have to re-read the whole thing, just a bit to lift my mood.

~ ChelZee ~

And? What's the verdict? Was it worth the hype for you?

~ ChelZee ~

That was the first thing that had me laughing in this reaction - and the movie hadn't even started yet! The Princess' Bride is a whole different kind of movie...

~ ChelZee ~

I always want him to announce when he recognizes someone so I can stop hollering about them while I'm watching - YOU REMEMBER HIM, RIGHT?! HELLO - Westley is in SAW and Stranger Things - SAY IT LEO! Dang it! That's what a nerd crash out looks like in this house.

~ ChelZee ~

This is Spinal Tap is a great recommendation for Leo. That would be fun.

Reinmaker

this one is a freaking classic

FranciscoU

It was pretty good! I’m glad I finally understand the references now. The main ones I was thinking of were from the big bang theory “my name is inigo montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die” and the office with Phylises wedding “mawage” 😂

~ ChelZee ~

Oh, yeah...Inigo Montoya. Start saying it in your friend group and see who's with it! Haha!

IVAN OOZE

Can someone refresh my memory? Has Leo done any of the Alien movies?

C

Gabagool

camzin0

if he did it was before the content purge. those first two have aged well they rly are timeless, he should see them.

James Therian

Forget what people are saying- Grandpa Wesley theory is legit 😁 😎

IVAN OOZE

Yeah I feel like He may have done original. Prob not, I forget. Now would Be the time Leo! HBO just released extended editions of most aliens and avps. Would love to see alien and predator series done in order !

Filby Pott

Can I request Excalibur? another great fantasy movie from the 80s

Filby Pott

and North! (I'm kidding, I'm kidding)

Filby Pott

he's such a great guy. also great in My Dinner with Andre.

Filby Pott

You keep using that word. I do not think it means, what you think it means.

Pablo Escobar

Cheech and Chong up in smoke nextt

Adam(Anti)

This is some of the best story telling ever

Ryan Cunningham

hey man. been following you on youtube for 5 years (!). Princess Bride is a favorite of mine. Kudos. I don’t see a way to contact you directly on Patreon, so if you’ll forgive me, I will mention this here. I’m a recording engineer, mainly rock ‘n’ roll, but I’d be interested in helping you make some more music because I think you’re awesome (i love your theme song). www.blackportaudio.com. Will give you an idea of what I do. I’m from Michigan. No worries whatever your response. Keep up the good work!

Claudette

I agree, Leo is awesome! To contact him here on Patreon, your best bet is to click "CHATS", then "DIRECT MESSAGE". Hope that helps

Mimi

🤣 Leo wanting to memorize lines from "The Princess Bride" so he can get more panties to drop.

Mimi

Back in the day, when I would let someone pick what movie they wanted to watch out of my ginormous DVD collection, it was always this one. "Oh, my sweet Westley! What have I done?" 🤭🥰

Bekah
