Mega

PEAK!!!! Gotta watch Clerks 2 and Dogma <3

Mitch Coob

How about a new movie for a change like Project Hail Mary or One Battle After Another? Old stuff is fun but it’d be cool to mix in some new releases too once in a while.

D-Matrix

Bout Damn time. Lets Get It. CLERKS 2 better be on deck. Promise you, as for sequels and movie universes, this is one of thw good ones.

Astraeos

Yeah you defo gotta watch Dogma. I like that one way more

Shane Normand

Let's Go! I'm case you need it here are the main movies in the View Askew Universe featuring Jay and Silent Bob, in release order: Clerks (1994) Mallrats (1995) Chasing Amy (1997) Dogma (1999) Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) Clerks II (2006) Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019) Clerks III (2022)

Astraeos

Wasn't One Battle like on the list to be watched? Maybe that was someone else I was thinkin of

Andrew S

Get to enjoy these people in a time before they ruined the Netflix He-man reboot 😆

Shep

Clerks is secretly one of the most nuanced and insightful films ever made. I could ramble for at least an hour about the deeper meanings and the characters, but I'll just say it's the perfect snapshot of being in your 20s, full of uncertainty and trying to make due. I consider Clerks, Waiting and Superbad to be a psuedo-trilogy, as they all take place in one day, are full of irreverent humor and have a deeper story the more you look into them. You've picked a great one, Leo. Easily in my top 5 favorite films. Edit: The View Askewniverse is one of my favorite film series ever. Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Clerks 2 feel really complete as a series. I haven't seen Clerks 3, but I haven't heard good things.

Rhoda J

Leave it to Leo to come through no matter where he is, been waiting on this for awhile, thanks Leo LY 💕🫶🏼💕

Shane Normand

Silent Bob is the writer and director

Sabrena S

Yes, something to watch when I get off work 😁Thx Leo🤗💚

Mitch Coob

Not sure about the list, but I know for a fact he mentioned it during the intro of something he watched a few months ago hinting at it being on the way but 🤷🏻‍♂️

E

Watch the order Clerks Mallrats Chasing Amy Dogma J&S strike back rewatch? Clerks 2 Jay and silent reboot Clerks 3 A J&SB strike back rewatch would be awesome with all the context, helps with the next J&SB as well just smoke up for it and sit back

Vito

Nice, one of my favorite movies growing up. Can you please do project Hail Mary next it just came out so you’d be early doing it.

Cody Anderson

Happy to watch this with you! These were some of my uncle dwaynes favorite movies. Unfortunately a couple weeks ago he lost his fight to cancer! Im going to smoke joint of his stuff while i watch this.

Daniel Ahr

Oh my god yess!!! Please Leo please! Watch all of Kevin’s Smiths View-Askew Films they all connect like The MCU does and each film has its own charm and personality you won’t be disappointed, but even if you decide not to watch them all, please watch Clerks 2 & Dogma those are musts after this one

The 15

100% he has to do the lot, and maybe even a jay and bob strike back rewatch during

astrobuckshot

Thanks Leo! This is the origin of Jay & Silent Bob.

Violet

Omg, SWEET!!! YOU GOTTA do Dogma and Clerks 2!!!!

Violet

Clerks 2 is a movie I could watch every day!!

D-Matrix

I actually did for almost a month on a 5 day rental. Luckily back then it was just a 5 dollar late fee no matter how long i kept it. I just called it 10 dollar unlimited days rentals.

Alice Delgado

LET'S FUCKING GO! now we can stop bugging you to watch this one. next is Mallrats

BlakedAsFuh

The advantages of pre recording haha

Ryan Buckley

Will you think about “Black Hawk Down” for Memorial Day ❤️🙏

TylerNorCal

First time watching this since I was a teen, unfortunately it doesn't hold up imo. You can just SEE the movie being made as it goes, kind of just loses all the illusion of a film. Def a classic of the era but I don't think it really translates outside of that.

Charles House

E gave you the proper order. Please do them all.

Kobain Reid

i have indeed tried to smod

james dixon

Yep you have to do Dogma and Clerks 2. Clerks is good but Clerks 2 is so much better. Also if you want more of a chick flick set in the same universe then watch Chasing Amy.

Violet

You still gotta watch Longlegs!! Not only is it the highest grossing independent horror film of the last decade, but apparently it's part of the new Scary Movie chapter. And it's Nicholas Cage like you've never seen him!!

L

good pick! still need 'little miss sunshine' please!

Joey Patterson

The Jersey trio is clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy. Also The guy that plays silent Bob is Kevin smith who wrote the movies

Sharpgirl

Please watch the new Sam Raimi Send Help 2026 with Rachel McAdams

Reinmaker

should check out the sequels. clerks 2 and 3

BigT423

Can we get a Men In Black 2?

Violet

Doing a Kevin Smith marathon would be AMAZING!

Sharpgirl

Ivan the trendsetter

Brandon Wheeler

Yes dogma is so underrated and lost to what we should enjoy. This is missed in this franchise

Clerks was a great example of Gen X young adulthood. The film was clever for its time, and I love the DIY feeling of it. It feels like friends who figured out how to make a movie with each other, even though the dialogue is heavy, the actors can memorize lines, but can't act them out, and some of the bits are just too precious - like the gum salesman, or the egg maniac... It's film-school 102. And THAT is part of the charm of Clerks. But there are lines that will be recited and passed down through generations... Anyone who has seen Clerks has said "I'm not even supposed to BE HERE today!" There's a cafe near me that recently had a car crash into the front - they hung a sign that said "I assure you, we are open." I, however, would NOT recommend the sequels, or the dang animated show. Ugh. They rung all the charm right out of the idea.

Filby Pott

this movie gives me war flashbacks
