Thank you Leo! You’re the man

TylerNorCal

Easily one of the greatest performances of all-time by DDL

Jairo Bobadilla

One of the greatest films of all time and probably the greatest performance from an actor in Daniel Day-Lewis. This movie will stay with you for days.

astrobuckshot

Thanks Mr. V! Daniel Day Lewis is an incredible actor. Check out Gangs of New York too.

EZ

Let's fucking go!

Nathan

Such a great film glad you’re getting to watch it! PTA is one of our great American filmmakers and I really hope you get into more now that you’ve seen Boogie Nights and this. A good next step could be Punch Drunk Love (with Adam Sandler) or his latest effort One Battle After Another

Mitch Coob

We need Gangs of New York now!

Chaos T

DDL acting performance was so good, nobody had a chance that year winning the awards that were handed out for Best Actor. Everyone after seeing There Will Be Blood were like "yeah... give that man all the awards". With his body of work, there's a good case to be made Daniel Day Lewis is a top 5 movie actor all time. It's really cool Leo only knew Paul Dano going into this film and saw for the first time a Daniel Day Lewis acting performance. "One Battle After Another" and "Magnolia" are also great films directed by PT Anderson I would love to see a reaction to.

TylerNorCal

Damn, Leo droppin gems...never thought about the last name thing 'he's the devil in plain-view' That's a bar 😂

TylerNorCal

'He started in a hole alone, and ended in a hole alone' Great analysis Leo, you were very insightful on this one and it's a film that requires that. This was an awesome reaction 👏🏻

EZ

Movie audio had me thinking my headphones were busted lol

Chaos T

Magnolia is also damn good.

Chaos T

In the beginning, Daniel Plainview explained his new well was giving him $5,000 per week. Accounting for inflation, he would be making close to $200,000 per week on that single oil well in 2026. This film does a good job showing the amount of physical, real wealth the oil barons from this age like John Rockefeller had. Even by today's standards of exorbitant wealth, it is not an exaggeration to say he was in the top five of wealthiest people in human history.

James Therian

Appreciate the late night drop Leo man!

IVAN OOZE

Gabagool 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥we made it! My favorite movie in last 20 years.

IVAN OOZE

Smash the like button if you want to see John Q reaction with Denzel Washington!

SageOfSixDabs

has Leo ever seen Young Guns or Tombstone?

JP Shikigami

daniel does care about hw in his own way

Astraeos

This movie man. So much to say about it. I could write a dissertation on this here movie. I love the ending, I love the multiple meanings of such a simple last line. I love how Daniel Plainview could be seen as America, as we rose, and eventually have succumb entirely to evil and corruption. This damn movie man! Can't wait for this reaction.

Steevn Sonder

ts stayed with me for 19years 😭

Steevn Sonder

Punch Drunk is criminally underrated that movie is incredible

Nathan

Magnolia is so good, but probably needs to be gotten into later along with The Master.

Steevn Sonder

Someone could correct me on this, but idt Daniel was lying when he spoke on Paul’s success at the end. Who knows if it was really 10k but I think Daniel paid him handsomely after visiting the Sunday Ranch himself and finding out Paul wasn’t lying. Daniel lies so much through the film that the conviction that comes through with everything he says to Eli at the end sounds 100% genuine if not just genuinely how he feels.

Susan B

A perfectly made film. Beautiful and haunting.

Susan B

The most American movie ever made.

Fatal N Felony

i can't remember, did leo ever watch that south park goo man episode lol i wonder if it's too late for him.

GuRillA_RACg_102

The walking dead Black Lightning The flash tv show Drawn Together Nothing to lose Creed Gridiron Gang Revenge of the Nerds

Nathan

getting around to watch this, real shame about the audio. would be great if it could be fixed. very jarring

James

2002 ‧ Crime/Action ‧ 2h 47m Needs to go on that Action poll!

DeShawn Hill

I reacted to the first 10 minutes of this movie the EXACT same way that I reacted to the Red Wedding in Game of Thrones... Just perfect storytelling and w nearly ZERO dialogue.... Damn!

HD

Daniel was pissed at his brother because he didnt remember the 'Peach Tree Dance' .. meaning he's not his actual brother.
