Together they collaborated along with Hiring Preston Lacy and Wee Man to produce Jackass the TV show on MTV. The rest is history!!

Johnny Knoxville did a movie called "The Ringer" that includes some of the guys shown during the credits of Jackass 3D. It's a very funny film centered around the Special Olympics where the athletes get to torment Johnny's character. The film gave acting opportunities to several people in the disabled community. Johnny Knoxville does crazy stunts that make you wonder what's wrong with his brain, but he also has a great big heart. "The Ringer" is a super funny watch.

Gotta remember that Steve-O was on a lot of drugs back in these days. Didn't really know or care what he was doing most of the time haha. Every member of the crew has sustained numerous injuries over the years. Everything from concussions, orbital blowout fractures, torn urethra, torn tendons, herniated discs, sprained ankles, broken ribs & wrists, brain hemorrhage, and more. Johnny broke his collarbone from the Santa Clause stunt in this movie. Johnny leads the way with medical bills that pile up to over $8.6 million dollars.

Imho, you're watching these too close together. They kind of lose their edge like that. You get used to seeing them and so they don't hit as hard. You gotta give it a month or two before you watch the next one, or maybe the .5's. They are just as good as the other's. They just had way too much footage to fit into a single movie and so released a second part of each movie called .5. Remember these were years apart, so you kind of forget all the magic of seeing the ridiculous shit after a while. Idk just my 2 cents. Not really made to be "binge watched" like East Bound and Down. :P

Since you asked who started it all, it technically was Bam's concept, Johnny helped perform and brainstorm stunts and pranks and Jeff Tremaine edited it in a way to present to MTV as a show.
