Big Change (Patreon)

Okay, this is a long one. Due to recent false pledges that ranged from $240+ in losses, I've had to resort to using a password system for tiers now.

My Patreon page will still have it's usual updates letting you know what has been added, but now the artwork will be in another place rather than on Patreon itself. If anything is posted on here, it'll most likely be either Commissions, Thumbnails of updated content and/or a pic that is also public.


$3 Tier (Speedpaint Videos) will remain the same since it's better for it to be posted here as it leads towards YouTube anyway so no changes there.


Ultimately, this does NOT affect anyone who has been pledging normally and been approved of their patronage. Only now that they will be receiving a Link and a Password each month based on their Tier via messages.


I'll be sending out links later today after everything has been moved over.  If there are any questions, feel free to ask here and I will answer the best I can.

Understandable, I have been watching it go up and down recently and figured something like this would be coming. I am here for the long haul, keep making great art and comics (i came here for IHHAT) and you will keep getting my money :)

I assume the folder is tied to the link and only the password will change monthly? If the link also change, using a password seems to have no obvious benefit. Unless dropbox has some advanced classifying features I am unaware off.

That should be the case, but either way, I'll send both each month since it's possible that I could get new Patrons.

I have to give up for now. I have tried using the link and the password, and all I get is some instructions about signing up for a dropbox. I don't really want to sign up for anything new, and this is in any case too complicated a procedure to get into a comic strip that I was able to access before in moments. I have very much enjoyed IHHAT, but if I do not hear back that I will still have a simpler way into it, I will very regretfully have to cancel my subscription; this is just too frustrating. Thanks for the enjoyment you have provided, and I hope there will be a way I can continue to receive the content, but right now I don't seem to be able to get it, and don't really want to jump through more hoops than I already just have.

So I guess new patreons have to wait a full month? I pledged shortly before this change and did not receive any link nor password. When does Patreon actually process the funds?

Patreon charges at the beginning of the month til the 5th of the month. when pledges are processed and accepted that will be when Links and Passwords are sent out. Yes, I know waiting till this point is a bit rough, but this insures that people are actually committed to the tier that they are pledging for rather than canceling before they are charged and get the content anyway when others have paid for it.
