Decided to not go through with the contest. I feel that despite having some ideas I'd like to do, I'm doing it for the wrong reasons and that crippling the comic/story isn't good for both me and it. My heart just doesn't feel like it's in it when working on it and was taking me much longer than usual. So for now I'm shelving the comic/story for a later time. I am still taking this week for a break as I needed to do so anyway but I will take this time to practice and learn more with my artwork/techniques so that I can apply them to future works. See you guys next week!

Awww that’s okay! There will be other times to participate but will always root for you no matter what! ^.=.^

I have experienced this for the past few years. I wanted to aim too high in my project of wanting to make a manga, that I neglected the reason why it fascinates me, until I had burnout several times. So I decided to do this project only for me, not for others, and want to carry out my project without having any pressure to bind to an editor, who wants me to produce a lot, when I don't want to. I hope my comment helps you a bit and take a rest. You earned it.

Very understandable! You should work on what you want to work on, no need to force something to happen. Especially if it feels like you’re sacrificing quality or enjoyment in it.
