Important News!!! - Tiers change (Patreon)

Hello everyone, I have to make a little announcement, during August I will have to change the tiers' commission. Why? Well, for one simple reason and some more complicated others that I can't control, the simple is fairness, right now, all my supporters do not pay the same amount for the same service. SubscribeStar patrons are paying more than Patreon patrons, nothing much, but still. 

Again, why? 

Well, for the complicated reason out of my control, which are the state of the world right now creating a big economic change, at first when I created the two accounts, SubscribeStar do not permit me to use the Euro currency, so I had to make an equivalent in Dollar for each tier, which went well for some time, but now, the balance between the two currencies keep changing due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine, and I just can't let things slip up like this while hoping it'll come back as before. 

So what?

Well, I will first put Patreon in Dollar as well and secondly, rebalance it to be on the same line as SubscribeStar. 

But what does that mean for us on Patreon?

Well, that mean a marginal increase in the tiers, not much, but still an increase, so this is why I will wait for next month to leave everyone the time to decide if they want to change their tier, or even just stop supporting, this is your money after all. 

What about us the yearly subscribers? 

Nothing will change for you, your tiers are already paid for the duration of your subscription, and when it'll come to an end, you will have the same possibility to change or stop as you see fit. 

What are the change in details? 

Currently, the tiers are: 1.50€, 5€, 10€, 25€, 50€ and 85€; they would change for: $2, $6, $12, $30, $60 and $100. 

How will it happen technically? 

Well, that's where it becomes complicated, technically, you cannot change a tier as long as someone is on it, but you can change the currency, which also if you do rebalance the value (not clear on if I will be to change them like I want that way though). If I cannot do it via that way, which would be the simplest one, I will create new tiers and make the old ones invisible for new patrons, which would let them disappear little by little (not the most effective, but if it's the only way, nothing I can do about it). 

We're not happy about it!

I totally understand and I'm very sorry, but it seems unfair to me to leave things as they are while waiting for things to calm down, we don't know for how long things will keep going down hill in the world and this is something I should have corrected long ago already. This is why I will wait for next month to make the change so that you have the occasion to decide how you want to react to it. In any way, I thank you for all the support you all have given me until now, without you this project would not have grow that much, thank you!
