The ultimate matchup commences: it's the return of X vs Zero! And such a matchup calls for the ultimate sparring mate: it's none other than FamilyJules!

Jules and I finally got to meet in person at MAGfest earlier this year and locked in a plan to get something together for you all this year! We started with his banger remake of Star Wolf on his channel a few months ago, and now we bring you this revised version of X vs. Zero to the GaMetal channel.

Much love to Jules for joining me and kicking ass on his part, let's do it again sometime!

X vs. Zero (Mega Man X5) - GaMetal Ft. FamilyJules

It's the return of the ultimate duel of the 22nd century: X vs. Zero! But this time, a special guest has arrived to join the battle... it's none other than FamilyJules! ◆ Subscribe to FamilyJules: https://www.youtube.com/@FamilyJules7X ◆ Shirts provided by Draculabyte: https://draculabyte.com ◆ Gameplay provided by buckshotboo24 (Thank you!) ◆ Thumbnail artwork by @nintendo-nut1 I first made an arrangement of this song over a decade ago, and have been thinking about bringing it back for a remake. I always thought it'd be a really cool idea to make this a duet to mirror the X vs Zero fight, and I thought... who better than the legendary FamilyJules? We've been talking about doing some stuff together for a while now and finally locked it down this year, first with his revised Star Wolf remix from a few months ago, and now with this revised version of X vs. Zero. The main cover is peak as usual. I remember that someone suggested "Demo" (aka "Variable X") for the acoustic short two days ago and Jonny actually did it. I love Jonny so much! That track is special as it plays when X found Zero was damaged too much after his sacrifice to protect X in Mega Man X / Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X, and when X was reunited with Zero in Mega Man X6. The OST sounds kind of sad, while the acoustic short sounds beautiful and nostalgic.
