GaMetal - Calamari Inkantation (Squid Sister's Theme) (Splatoon) (Patreon)

It's time for a really special remix! Splatoon's final Splatfest is this weekend and I couldn't pass up this perfect opportunity to release this GaMetal rendition of the Squid Sister's theme song Calamari Inkantation.

Originally, I didn't intend to do vocals. Then I saw a lot of people were kind of expecting some sort of vocals in this remix. At first I played around with using the original tracks, but I threw that idea out because for one, the actual acapella tracks aren't available anywhere so I had to use a faux-acapella track (drastic EQ forcing) which I hate doing because there's still artifacts left in the background that kind of ruin everything, and for two what I can best describe as 'legal stuff', haha.

I really wanted some sort of vocals though, but I had a really short time window to get this song out for the splatfest so I couldn't really put pressure on anybody to record some vocals for me (say, Edo bean for example) cause I'd feel kind of pressurizing saying 'so I need this in like, 2 days'. Haha.

So after much experimenting, let's just say I found a near-perfect combination of effects to achieve the 'squid vocaloid' sound. xD

Hey! So I think I mentioned this in a post earlier but  we hit the milestone goal for the next Patron poll. I'm going to have that up this weekend along with a general update post, and we'll also be getting to a bunch of acoustic shorts next week as well. I've been a little quiet this week between working on this song and IRL work, but everything has been going great!

See you in the next post, thanks a million as always for your continued support! :D
