Hmm, I think it's actually more cuz she doesn't have the muscle strength of the warrior who she's imitating. She's got the moves and has a comparably strong weapon but she's still just got the physical strength of a young girl. Stark is a well trained warrior who's body is better equipped than most to handle physical attacks. This was a bad match up for her. Also I used to practice Taekwondo in my younger years. As a mere white belt, the master of the dojo would have us spar with his son who was a purple belt at the time, just a few levels below black belt and the kid was barely 13, lol. One day in particular, I'll never forget it, he had me go up against his son to practice my kicks because I was reliant on just my arms. I was slow with my kicks back then, it took too long for me to execute one, stand and launch on the next move. Everytime I tried, he'd take advantage of my slowness and blitz on me. So I had an idea, I kicked at him with my non dominant left leg which of course failed to connect and he moved in to blitz me again, but thats what I wanted cuz I was able to roundhouse kick him in the gut with my dominant right leg. Which he was more unprepared for than had I realized cuz he was in a ton of pain for maybe 3-5 seconds, then dropped all etiquette and beat the crap out of me for real.

You misunderstood, it's not the the axe wasnt heavy. He ment that he realized that shes not as strong as he thought. Remember Eisen was scared of him. So was already strong enough to compare to his master or maby even stronger. He just still underestimates himself. He was scared when she used his master techniques, but then when finally he got he realized it was not as strong as he thought. However he underestimates himself still so he attributes it to her being weak, not him being strong.
