I am giving you Invincible early even though it was originally planned for a later release - so when there is a gap in uploads for a day here and there, this is why.

I think Adam Wilkins just wants a normal life, his daughter to be safe, normal and happy, and to be able to support and provide for his family. He gets angry and expresses it negatively but still tries to do what he thinks is best for his family. Overall he's an interesting depiction of parenting

I'm not expert but I'd like to see the mother stand up to him because he's breaking Eve's self perception, and the mother tries to comfort rather than undo the psychological damage (which seems to just be adding up)
