I did! I'll say your line of thinking and suspicions are spot-on, as per usual! With regards to Louis' memories, I interpret it to be that he remembers certain things differently because it shows him in a better light. I always assumed that's what people do when they do hurtful things--they rationalize it to themselves in a way that makes them not sound like awful people. However, with decades upon decades, it's sort of become reality in Louis' mind, and only through Daniel's impartial prodding is he able to resurface the actual events. But this is at least part of the reason--there's clearly more to uncover over the rest of the season! Surprisingly, I found season 2 to be even better than season 1, and I was a huge fan of that season! This show isn't very long but I feel like it's a rare gem that hasn't missed even once. I can't wait to see the rest of your reactions <3

Ooh yes, that's a helpful way to describe it! Especially the decades sort of cementing this altered reality. But season 2 already shows so much promise!

just some clarifications and maybe reminders from season 1 in regards to louis or claudia making other vampires: claudia did try to make vampires of her own but it didnt work bc she is too small (this happens when the police come by the house and she has to hide all the body parts and they have a talk at the table). I believe louis never considered making another vampire bc he saw it as an intimate act like a marriage bc of how it was introduced to him with lestat. they then for 4 years searched for old world vamps during a war so finding someone to turn wasnt high on the list of priorities. this is why claudia wanted to find other vamps she cant make a family of her own so shes seeks community

also also the money was lestats money louis lost a lot of his money through his business which burned and was red lined into doing poorly. and war messes with money im sure theres a more appropriate word for it but essentially money at the time either lost value or importance immediately after war.
