okaaaay! loved your reaction and thoughts on Bella's situation. personally, i'm all for ending your life or at least not prolonging the suffering (ehem, chemo) in case of a rapidly developing terminal illness. i've seen what one's relatives convincing them to do chemo in such a situation looks like and it's simply torture. so, yeah that definitely was an asshole move on Hannibal's part, especially after he encouraged it himself. he made the choice to bring her back by flipping the coin, but it ended up being more than beneficial for him i guess: no body found in his office, Jack indebted to him for "saving" his wife, etc. Bella's decision to die *in front of him in his office* also feels kind of murky but definitely pales in comparison. she has all my empathy in this. should've chosen a park bench tho. and yay for Will's breakthrough x2: the chesapeake ripper part and the eating humans (i totally had to google whether human flesh included organs as a non-native speaker and apparently not... also can't say remains as the humans in question are not always dead. can't say cannibalism for other reasons. humans it is) bitchy Will is my favorite and this episode was a masteclass of that. we are close to the mid-season finale and things are definitely ramping up! can't wait for more

Maybe this is taking it too far, but to me it seems like Jack just wants to delay mourning Bella as long as possible because that would actually impact his work. As long as she remains a living presence he can more or less carry on as usual, more or less push his pain into the future and more or less ignore hers.

Little Shop of Horrors! That's so nostalgic for me. I haven't seen it in a very long time (should rewatch!) but it was one of my Dad's favs; we watched it several times when I was a kid. It's not the same actor but they totally do have a similar vocal affect

I definitely wrote out an entire response to this that i guess never posted 😭 but yes, glad i'm not alone on my perspective on Bella. seeing the suffering of chemo patients firsthand has given me a different perspective, i think. and yeah, her being like "hey, let me crash on your couch to die real quick" is a wild choice haha. but it just goes to show how much trust she's developed in him. so glad will is able to access those memories now. but the fact that he's been on hannibal's case even without those memories shows how skilled he is. now if only he had someone on the outside who could help him...without getting caught.

hmmm, that's interesting and honestly makes sense. a big part of their conflict as a couple is his preoccupation with his work, so the idea that her more imminent death would be inconvenient for him professionally feels like a Jack thought. perhaps one that's more subconscious. but it's still so self-centered.
