Be happy to fund if there was solid, consistent progress on the game. :)

Fair! It’s a bit chicken and the egg from my perspective… if I didn’t have to work my 9-5 I could make steady progress on the game…

Completely understandable! I think with a project like this, much of the otherwise "free time" outside work has to be focused on the game if you want to show progress at a decent pace. I have followed AVG (adult video games) for 7-8 years at this point and the dev's who make it big focus a LOT of their time on making sure they get updates out and keep them quality. It means long hours, working weekends and spending pretty much all their otherwise 'free time' on the game, but for those who really want to be a success they show the effort to get there. :) Not saying the effort isn't present here, just my observations from seeing many good games explode because of dev work and devotion to the project. Other games that start outstanding, die in a year or less because the dev just spent time on it every now and then, or expected a huge return on time investment extremely fast just on their initial efforts. Developing a game, from what I have seen, is like starting a business, a shitload of long hours and no guarantee of success, but the effort has to be put in, and the work, to get the rewards and recognition.

Totally agree. I’ve been working on Escape almost every night for the last year. It’s a lot of work. A lot more than I predicted given my last three games. But I need this game to be the best. Now that I know how to make things good. The minimum standard for even just 1 render is so much higher. But I know the end result will be worth it! Thank you for your support and for your feedback!
