Homemade Horrors Happenings (Patreon)

Hello Patrons!
We wanted to give you a more comprehensive overview of what’s going on, what’s coming up and what’s changing, since we’ve got a lot on the go.

Conventions:
We will be tabling at Anime North again, in the dealer’s den but this year we’ll be bringing smaller items rather than the usual spread; sneks, teas, bats and some amphisbaena. We’re changing it up this year so that we can continue to offer things online, and carry on with customs and drakes/whelps, AND to help stave off burn out. Con prep is tough!

That said, we have also applied to Canfurence which is Aug 2nd to 4th.
If dealer apps open/close in such a way as to give us prep time, we’ll also be applying to MFF again. Should we get in, both these cons will have more of the usual range of monsters.

Customs:
We will have more custom slots available, and they will be patron exclusive. No firm date right now, but you’ll have plenty of warning. Chances are good it will be an RNG batch.

Pricing:
After reordering supplies post-furnal, we realised our current price scheme is not sustainable with the increased cost of… everything. We do our best to keep prices within reasonable ranges for the work offered, since we want to be as accessible as possible, however we have to balance that against our bills. To that end, pricing will be going up slightly in some categories: sneks, bats and teas will remain the same, with the bigger more complex/time consuming monsters going up between $25 + $100ish. I’m currently working on a spreadsheet, but the average price increase isn’t huge - around 7-14%. We know everything is more expensive for ALL of us right now, and we appreciate everyone’s support hugely.

Contest:
We’re overdue for a contest! We will likely host a small giveaway on bluesky, either in May or June which will be open to everyone, but we’ll be hosting a patron-only contest following that. I’m not giving anything away YET, but you’re welcome to suggest prize ideas!

Patreon Exclusives:
Tiers are getting an overhaul, as we do a few things that aren’t listed, and don’t have time for other that are (RIP monster mondays - great idea for people less busy than us!). We’ll be adding a patreon exclusive pin OR keychain as well - please let us know which you prefer. These will be free to $20 patrons, and available to buy for anyone else (well, so long as you’re a patron).

Shop Drops:
We heard a rumour that you guys might like a drop of quad yeens? Keeping anime north limited to less time consuming stock means we’ll be able to do that, OR yips…. Again, please weigh in!

I THINK that's all of the new business for now, but I will update if I've missed anything. Cheers again all, its gonna be a fantastic spring/summer season!
