The warnings on the box of cold meds should include “do not alter patterns while taking this medication.”

While slightly feverish and doped up on cold meds, I thought it would be a FAB idea to add wing stripes to this drake. Then I thought (brilliantly) that it would be SO cool if they actually wrapped right around the edges of the wing so it was one continuous stripe from back to hip.

I was right, it does look great. But what I forgot to factor in (as you do, when sick and cognitively compromised,) was how much time that greatness was consuming.

Thus, future striped drakes will be sticking to the original design, so that we don’t have to add a firstborn child to the price tag.

But. I do love how this first one is turning out! :)
