Returning dagger can only be t thrown once per round. At the end of the round it returns to the person or square it was thrown from. If you want multiple attacks you need multiple daggers. It says this in the items description.

The air elemental killed a Vrock doing 1 point of damage since it has DR 10/Good? I might have missed Nick summoning a celestial Air Elemental to overcome the DR.
