Kinda felt that Skid inserted a chance NPC into this that drastically took away from the players survival, heroics, and agency. Didn't see this adding to the adventure at all. I see why the 3 GMs that I experienced running this (2 i was in and one I heard about later) didn't include him or force him upon the party.
