Never give the price for buying. This throws off the PCs expectations. Always give the sell price. This solves most issues (95%) of all issues.

Rolling off had always been the weakest aspect of the GCN/GCP. If a baby won the roll for a clamor or doesn't mean it's ideal. But this is what has crippled the GCN for years. Once your stop exploding dice Pathfinder becomes amazing. Once you stop fan criticals pathfinder becomes amazing and balanced. Every single issue you have ever had with pathfinder has come from homebrew things you have added. The problem has never been pathfinder, but the complete disregard for all rules and homebrew added. This is statistically accurate.
