This is something I want you to help me with. I'm thinking between two ideas. I want to try 3d animation on blender. But I know nothing of blender, so if I tried, it would take a while to get anything done. 

The other choice is to try and animate this gif up here of Korra facing a spirit. The way fred perry did his animations https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtYa_dxFuzM

Less define on the lines but more fluid. It will look different from my other animations.
