The Curse of Lysara
Chapter 1: Icons of Power
Written by: Growth Gooru
The jungle stretched out in every direction like an ocean of green, endless and unmapped, its canopy rising and dipping in slow waves. Broad leaves overlapped in tight layers, dripping with condensation that fell in soft, steady patters to the moss below. Vines hung like ropes from twisted branches, some so thick they looked like they’d been growing since the dawn of time.
The air itself was a weight.
Warm, wet, heavy, clinging to the skin with every breath.
Birdcalls flitted through the canopy in melodic bursts, their songs bouncing between the trunks. A distant monkey barked out a complaint. Cicadas hummed in a chorus that vibrated against the ribs. Here and there, something rustled through underbrush, unseen but undeniably close, brushing past ferns tall as a grown man.
Moist earth released its scent with every footfall. Flowers shimmered in patches of filtered sunlight, their petals bright enough to sting the eyes. A warm breeze carried the smell of ripe fruit, damp bark, and the mineral tang of running water somewhere far off.
And cutting cleanly through that woven symphony came a new sound:
THWACK.
Machete against vine.
Sharp. Measured.
THWACK.
Leaves fluttered to the ground like torn feathers.
THWACK.
The rhythm echoed through the clearing, steady as a heartbeat, announcing the slow, stubborn progress of someone determined to force a path through terrain that did not encourage visitors.
She hadn’t appeared yet, but the signs of her approach were undeniable—thin shafts of light swaying as severed vines crashed to the forest floor, startled insects scattering into the air, tiny frogs leaping into puddles to avoid boots that hadn’t arrived.
The forest breathed around the intrusion, not threatened… just adjusting to the presence of a traveler carving her way toward something hidden beneath centuries of growth.
The heat pressed thicker.
The cicadas droned louder.
Moisture clung to the leaves like glistening jewels.
And the steady, unwavering sound of chopping grew closer. Thicker. Certain.
Not rushed or dramatic, just with a solid pace, to conserve energy.
Just a lone explorer pushing deeper into a wild place where nature ruled everything, and the only path forward was the one she made with her own hands.
The jungle is trying to swallow her whole.
Isabella pushes through it anyway, one sharp swing of her machete at a time, every chop sending a tremor through her already overheated body. The air is thick, wet, clingy, the kind that coats your skin like it’s hungry. Her ponytail has stopped behaving entirely, dark strands plastered to the sides of her neck and temples, the rest swaying with each breath she drags in.
Her shirt is tied under her chest like always, but right now it’s a lost cause. Sweat rolls down the deep line of her cleavage, catching sunlight like molten gold as it slides between those heavy, bouncing curves. The fabric is soaked, clinging tight enough that the outline of her bra is basically playing peekaboo every time she moves. Every breath pushes her chest higher, wider, the motion almost hypnotic.
Her olive skin gleams with a slick sheen, muscles in her arms and stomach tightening each time she raises the machete and hacks another vine apart. Even her hips have a rhythm as she walks, swaying with the stubborn determination of someone who will find the place forbidden maps whisper about.
The birthplace of giants.
Or maybe the birthplace of whatever made them.
She’s panting, not from weakness but from pure heat, each inhale sharp and humid, each exhale pushing a soft moan from her parted lips before she catches herself. Her ponytail sticks to the back of her neck. Her thighs glisten. Her shirt clings. Every inch of her is flushed and glowing and dripping in the kind of way that isn’t just sweat anymore.
Leaves slap against her legs, vines tug at her clothes, and the jungle feels like it’s testing her… seeing if she’s worthy to enter a temple that hasn’t been touched in centuries.
She finally parts a curtain of broad, wet leaves with her forearm.
And there it is.
Overgrown, half-buried, swallowed by a thousand tangled roots… a stone temple rising from the ground like a sleeping beast.
The massive entrance is sealed.
And Isabella Romano—slick, breathing hard, skin glowing under the canopy—stares at it like she’s ready to conquer whatever ancient power still lurks past its stony walls.
—
For a moment, Isabella just stands there, letting the weight of the jungle slip off her shoulders as she takes in the monolithic structure rising from the earth.
Massive stone blocks, each one carved with symbols worn flat by centuries of rain. Roots coil over them like thick fingers, gripping, claiming, refusing to release their hold. The entrance is lost beneath layers of growth so old it looks fused to the temple itself. Moss drips from every edge. A thin mist curls from shaded crevices where sunlight never reaches.
She wipes her forearm across her face, smearing sweat more than removing it.
“Madonna mia…” she mutters, her accent thick, her voice low and almost breathless. “Che disastro. You could have told me the place was… buried alive.”
Her hand drifts to her hip, adjusting the strap of her satchel, the damp fabric of her tied shirt creaking softly against her chest. A drop of sweat slides from the curve of her collarbone and disappears between her breasts. She feels it. She groans softly.
“Sempre così caldo… always so damn hot here…”
She steps closer to the structure, boots sinking into soft, moss-cushioned ground. Her breathing slows as she studies the stone. She presses her palm to one of the carvings, tracing the faint spiral cut deep into the granite.
The stone is hot to the touch, like a stove left on to burn.
She pulls her hand back sharply. “So damn hot...”
Her eyebrows knit together, her mouth curling slightly—half frustration, half fascination. She tugs her ponytail tighter just so she can think.
The jungle presses in behind her, buzzing, chirping, humming. But the temple is silent. Unmoving. Watching her with a patience older than language.
Isabella circles the entrance—or where the entrance should be—her machete tapping against roots thicker than her arm. She tries levering one up. It doesn’t budge.
“Stupido…” she huffs under her breath at the root, not herself. “Move. Come on. I did not come all this way to be blocked by a big… tree… thing.”
She pulls harder. The root doesn’t even twitch.
Her chest rises sharply with exertion, pulling her damp shirt even tighter against her curves. Sweat trickles down her spine. She shivers at the sensation and straightens up quickly, breathing hard.
“Va bene… fine. We do this the hard way.”
She steps back and surveys the overgrown entrance, hands on her hips. Her face glows beneath the sheen of heat, lips parted in a mix of annoyance and excitement. The sight of the temple, the raw age of it, the challenge of it, and something sparks inside her.
“If the legends are true…” she whispers, eyes narrowing at the spiraled carvings.
“If this really is where they began… allora… there must be a door. And I will find it.”
She presses both palms to the stone now, leaning her full weight into it, sweat dripping from her forehead onto ancient runes.
“Open, you stubborn relic.”
Silence.
She groans in frustration, kicks a stray root, then steps back again, breathless, her olive skin shimmering in the mottled light.
The temple still doesn’t move.
But Isabella Romano is not done with it.
Not even close.
She braces her hands on her thighs, breathing deeply, cleavage rising and falling like waves.
“Okay, Isa… think. Think. There is always a way in. Always.”
And somewhere, beneath a layer of roots and stone, something faint clicks.
Isabella doesn’t hear it yet.
But she’s about to.
Isabella wipes her palms on her thighs, muttering a soft “per l’amore di Dio…” as she circles the roots again. Her eyes narrow. Something in the carvings feels… off. Not mystical, not glowing, not dramatic—just… misaligned.
She reaches up and presses a carved spiral that sits just slightly deeper than the others.
It shifts under her hand.
Not smoothly. Not gracefully.
More like an ancient stone sighing after centuries of stubbornness.
A low grind rumbles behind the wall. Moss trembles. Roots shiver. The whole face of the temple shifts inward a handspan, sending dust drifting like old breath around her boots.
Isabella’s lips curl into a triumphant smirk.
“Finalmente. I knew you were hiding something.”
She plants her hands on the slab and shoves. The ancient doorway retreats with a deep, reluctant groan, cracking open just wide enough for a determined Italian woman with sweat slicking every inch of her skin.
Inside is darkness. Heavy. Thick. The air smells like stone and time.
She steps in.
Her boots echo against the vast corridor, the sound swallowed and returned faintly by walls lost in shadow. The air is cooler here, but it clings to her just the same. Her shirt sticks tighter to her ribs. Her ponytail drips from the jungle outside.
“Che posto enorme…” she whispers, staring at the long hallway that stretches forward like a spine.
She walks. Carefully. Slowly. Torches in deep sconces have long since died, but carvings—women towering over men, sunbursts, spiraled symbols—guide her forward.
Then she stops.
A gaping chasm opens between her and the far side of the hall. The drop is so deep she doesn’t even hear the bottom. Just an echo that falls and falls and falls.
She eyes it, groans under her breath. “Sempre complicato… they couldn’t just… build a bridge?”
She reaches to her hip, fingers grazing the leather coil she knows by heart.
Her whip snaps through the air with a sharp crack that echoes like thunder in the hollow chamber. The lash curls around a thick jutting beam of stone overhead. She tests it. Solid.
Her thighs tighten as she braces herself for the jump.
“Andiamo…”
She runs.
Leaps.
Swings.
Her body arcs across the void, chest bouncing in a way that would’ve made the old gods choke on their wine. She lands on the far platform with a thick, grounded thud, rolling a shoulder with a satisfied exhale.
“Perfetto.”
Then she looks up.
And forgets to breathe.
The chamber ahead is cavernous—rounded, domed, lit by thin shafts of sun cutting in through cracks far above. Plants twist down the walls in hanging curtains. Dust sparkles in soft gold beams.
And at the center…
A statue.
Not just large.
Not just ancient.
But breathtaking.
—
A towering fertility idol rises from the floor, easily ten feet tall, carved from pale stone polished by centuries of reverence. The figure is voluptuous—hips wide, thighs thick, belly soft in the way of goddesses who create worlds.
Her breasts…
Isabella stares openly.
They dwarf her head. Twice over. Maybe more. Monumental curves carved with delicate attention to weight and fullness, nipples accented with faint spirals like blooming suns.
But it’s her posture that hits hardest.
The stone giantess leans forward slightly, arms extended, palms cupped together in front of her. As if offering. Presenting.
And resting in those massive joined hands…
A red and gold amulet, gleaming even in the muted light, as if it never learned how to gather dust.
Isabella steps closer, chest rising and falling, lips parted in awe.
“Bellissima…” she whispers, voice barely her own.
She feels small—not in a frightened way, but in a way that makes her pulse heat. Like standing before something meant to change her.
The statue’s huge breasts loom above her as she approaches, shading her with soft, carved curves. From down here, it looks almost like the stone giantess is bending toward her, gifting her this treasure personally.
“You… want me to take it?” she murmurs, fingertips brushing the amulet’s chain.
“Davvero? Just like that?”
The amulet is warm.
Not hot.
Not glowing.
Just… warm. Like skin.
Her breath catches.
She cups it gently in her fingers.
Lifts it.
The chain slides free from the stone palms like silk.
The giantess statue towers over her silently, breasts hanging enormous above, as if approving. Watching. Waiting.
And Isabella Romano stands alone beneath her… amulet in hand… covered in sweat… heart pounding… completely unaware that her entire life has just pivoted.
Isabella lifts the amulet, letting the weight settle against her collarbone. Almost absentmindedly, she fastens the chain around her neck. The cool metal slides against sweaty skin, settling snugly in the hollow at the base of her throat. For a moment, she forgets it’s even there, distracted by the sheer awe of the statue towering above her, the soft, shadowed beams of sunlight spilling across carved curves.
Then her eyes catch something—a faint outline behind the giant idol. Moss-covered stone that doesn’t quite belong, a seam in the wall that suggests another way. Curious, Isabella slips past the statue, careful not to scratch her arms on rough stone. She presses a hand against the wall, brushing away decades of dust and dirt. There, partially concealed by twisted roots and hanging vines, a narrow, almost forgotten passage beckons.
She squeezes through, the walls pressing damply against her shoulders. Her boots scrape against uneven stone, echoing faintly as she climbs. The tunnel twists upward, dark and cool, a quiet contrast to the oppressive heat outside. The faint smell of earth and ancient stone fills her senses, but beneath it all… the lingering warmth of the amulet pulses softly against her chest, almost like a heartbeat of its own.
The passage opens slowly into the jungle again, revealing a hidden clearing. Sunlight drips through the thick canopy above, spilling over a circular stone slab half-buried in moss. It looks ancient. Heavy. Made to resist.
Isabella bends low, planting her feet and pressing both palms against the rough stone. Her ponytail slips over one shoulder, dark strands sticking to her face and neck, glued there by sweat. Her olive skin shines in the heat. She pushes.
Nothing.
“Stupido…” she mutters, breath hot, cheeks flushed. Her body tightens with the effort. Calves flex. Thighs press together hard, thick muscle bunching beneath her shorts. The fabric clings to her legs, damp and stretched. Her shirt, tied under her chest, rides up as she strains, pulling tight across her breasts.
Too tight.
Her nipples press hard against the thin fabric, clearly outlined now. Each breath makes them rub, ache, demand attention. Sweat runs down between her breasts, soaking the knot under her chest as her bra strains beneath, cups stretched full.
Still the slab does not move.
Then something warm stirs at her neck.
Not the jungle heat. Something deeper. Something alive.
The amulet presses against her skin, suddenly hot. The warmth spreads, sliding down over her collarbones, sinking into her chest. Isabella gasps, sharp and surprised. Her hands slip on the stone as her body reacts before her mind can catch up.
The amulet hums.
Her pulse jumps. The warmth grows stronger, heavier, pulling outward from her center. Her breasts swell first, pushing forward, filling her bra until the fabric bites into the underside. Her nipples grow firmer, fuller, stretching with the weight of her tits as her shirt pushes outward, cleavage deepening by the second.
“Che cazzo…” she breathes.
Her thighs thicken suddenly, swelling wider, heavier. The shorts grip her hard now, seams biting into her hips as muscle and soft weight bloom together. Sweat pours down her inner thighs as they press thick and strong beneath her.
Her arms grow next.
Biceps swell. Forearms thicken. Her hands look bigger on the stone. Veins stand out as strength floods her limbs, her shoulders broadening, her back tightening beneath the soaked shirt.
Her whole body surges.
Legs lengthen. Hips spread. Her ass swells back, round and heavy, stretching the shorts tight across the curve. The fabric pulls, rides up, clinging shamelessly to her fuller cheeks. Her spine stretches as she grows taller, heavier, stronger all at once.
The jungle feels smaller.
Without thinking, Isabella leans in and pushes again.
This time the slab moves.
Stone groans. Moss explodes outward as the massive disk tips under her hands. She stumbles back, chest heaving, body shuddering as another slow stretch ripples through her. Her breasts bounce heavily, tits pulling against the strained knot of her shirt. Her ass settles thick and powerful behind her. Her legs feel solid. Planted.
Strong enough.
She straightens, breathing hard, sweat dripping down her neck, her chest, her stomach. Her clothes cling everywhere now. Shirt tight and riding high, barely containing her swollen breasts. Shorts hugging her hips and thighs like a second skin, every curve obvious.
She’s taller. Noticeably so.
The vines brush lower on her body now. The clearing feels built for someone smaller. Her body feels… right.
A breathless laugh slips out as she rolls her shoulders, feeling the weight of her arms, the pull of her chest, the heavy strength in her thighs and ass. She shifts her hips slowly, feeling how much space she takes up now.
The amulet hums warmly against her skin.
“Madonna…” she murmurs, eyes shining as she looks down at herself. “This is getting very interesting.”
Her fingers brush the amulet again, feeling it pulse, and the jungle around her feels suddenly ready for her. Thick. Wild.
And finally, strong enough to meet her.
—
The jungle thinned as Isabella made her way back toward the river, sunlight catching the slick sheen of sweat across her olive skin, highlighting the curves of her chest and hips that felt heavier, more pronounced with every step. Her shirt, already damp, clung tighter than ever, hugging her newly expanded form; her shorts pressed snug against thighs that felt a touch fuller, stronger. The amulet rested warmly against her collarbone, a constant, insistent presence, and she deliberately didn’t even think about taking it off.
Ahead, the riverbank came into view, and with it… him. The man she’d hired to get her—and her treasure—back to the village. He had been waiting, pacing, hands clutched in anticipation, muttering under his breath. And when he saw her emerging through the greenery, something broke loose.
“Isabella! You… you made it!” he shouted, arms flailing as he cheered.
She slowed, letting herself enjoy the sight of him frozen mid-motion, eyes widening. He was a decent man, but short—maybe 5’8. And now… she had a good three inches on him. Not dramatic, but enough. The difference in perspective was immediate. She could see his hairline from above, the way his jaw tightened as he tried to hide his surprise.
“Easy, easy…” he said, taking a half-step back instinctively, as if the subtle height shift made her presence weighty somehow.
“Everything… okay?” he asked, eyes flicking to the amulet around her neck before he caught himself.
She let a crooked little smile tug at her mouth, pushing a damp curl off her temple with two dusty fingers. “This?” she said, flicking the chain with a nail. “Eh. Hardly a revelation. No inscriptions, no curse, no dramatic humming. Very disappointing, actually.” She tipped her head, squinting at it like she was already drafting a footnote in her mind, sunlight tracing the lines of her posture as she shifted her weight. “But until someone proves it’s worthless,” she added dryly, “it stays with me. Purely for… academic reasons, capisce?”
He nodded, trying to act casual, but his eyes betrayed him, darting to her newly confident stance, the way her shoulders and chest filled the air differently, the faint sway of her hips as she walked toward him. He ignored the obvious—her extra height, the subtly longer limbs—and instead tried to focus on the amulet.
“Right… finder’s keepers, huh?” he said, a nervous laugh escaping.
“Exactly,” Isabella said, letting the words drip with playful secrecy. She stepped closer, letting the slight height advantage settle naturally into her posture, teasingly dominant without even trying. Her chest rose, heaving gently with the exertion from her climb and the previous growth, every curve highlighted under the damp, clinging fabric. She watched as he shifted his weight, aware that he was now looking up at her just a little more than before.
She tugged her bag over one shoulder, the strap digging slightly into her now-larger chest, a tiny reminder of her new proportions, and the amulet warmed her neck, pulsing softly with an energy she refused to name aloud.
“Let’s get going,” she said, voice low, teasing, leaving him to marvel at the subtle but unmistakable difference she now carried with her. The jungle behind her whispered in humidity, moss brushing along her calves as she strode past, taller, curvier, and entirely in control.
He fell into step beside her, glancing at her every so often, trying to keep the conversation casual, but it was clear: something about her had shifted. And Isabella liked knowing he noticed—without her ever having to tell.
Once she was settled on the boat, the amulet pressed warmly against her skin, almost urging her to move. Isabella stretched, arching her back and rolling her shoulders, feeling her chest rise fuller, heavier under the tight, damp fabric of her shirt. Her breasts expanded subtly, the tops brushing against the stretched cotton, nipples outlined teasingly. Her shorts hugged her hips and thighs more firmly, seams pulling slightly with the swell of her new curves.
He stammered, distracted by the shift in her presence, trying to sound casual while sneaking glances at the subtle swell of her chest and the sway of her hips. Isabella flexed her arms, rolled her shoulders again, letting the amulet’s warmth spread through her newly heightened, curvier form. The jungle receded behind her, the boat creaking softly beneath her weight, and she felt the delicious tension of being taller, fuller, and entirely aware of it—all while keeping the amulet hers alone.
The boat nudged into the small dock, and Isabella stepped onto solid ground, the warm jungle air mixing with the faint tang of river water. She glanced down at the man who’d ferried her here, giving him a soft, teasing smile. “Thanks… really, I couldn’t have done it without you,” she said, voice low and smooth, letting him feel the weight of her presence.
He grinned, shoving his hands forward. “C’mon, a hug, Isa! You both made it back safe!”
She rolled her eyes, but the corner of her lips quirked up, and she leaned down just enough to wrap him in her arms. The hug was brief but suffocating—her chest pressing down, warm and heavy against him, the slight swell of her now full, round breasts brushing insistently against his torso. He froze for a moment, wide-eyed, before exhaling a shaky laugh. He lived for this, every second of it.
Pulling back, Isabella straightened, and the effect hit her all at once: she towered over him now, and indeed over most of the villagers milling around the small riverside settlement. Heads turned as she passed, whispers rising, eyes flicking between her height, the subtle swell of her hips and thighs under her damp shorts, and the large, glinting amulet resting against her chest.
A few curious voices called out. “Is that… the icon?”
She smirked, shrugging slightly, letting the sunlight catch the curves of her chest, now impossibly full, each breast like a large, weighty coconut pressing the soaked fabric of her shirt tighter. “Nothing special,” she said lightly. “Just… something I found.”
The women clustered near the dock gasped and fawned over it, reaching out subtly as if drawn by the chain and pendant. Isabella let them, enjoying the attention, her fingers brushing the amulet as she walked, hips swaying naturally, height and curves drawing every gaze. She was taller than almost everyone here now, and the change in perspective made the village feel… small, pliable, almost like it existed for her amusement.
—
By the time night fell, the small village was quiet, the sky washed in deep violet and indigo. Lanterns glowed low along the riverbank, fireflies drifting lazily through the humid air like wandering sparks. Isabella stood alone near the edge of the settlement, arms folded beneath her chest, the amulet resting warm and heavy against her skin.
She felt… off.
And a bit… bigger… than usual.
Warmth pooled low in her belly, slow and insistent, spreading outward with every breath. Her pulse felt louder than it should have, each beat echoing faintly in her ears. The day’s exertion should have left her exhausted, but instead her body hummed, alert and restless, as if sleep were an inconvenience rather than a need.
She exhaled slowly, rolling her shoulders back.
Her shirt strained when she did. The fabric creaked softly, pulled taut across the swell of her chest, the knot beneath her breasts biting into skin that felt more sensitive than it had any right to be. She tugged at it absently, annoyed, then let it go. Everything she wore felt slightly too small now. Slightly wrong.
Just the heat, she told herself.
The villagers gave her space as she passed, eyes lingering, conversations stalling when she drew near. She noticed it without really looking, felt it the way you feel a shift in weather. People seemed… lower. Shorter. Their voices carried upward to her now. Even the doorways looked narrower than they had that morning.
Isabella frowned, then shook her head.
“Basta,” she muttered. “You are tired. That’s all.”
Her guest hut waited at the edge of the village, simple and quiet. Inside, the air was thick and still. She dropped her satchel to the floor and rolled her neck, stretching until her spine gave a soft, satisfying pop. The movement made her chest sway heavily, a weight she was becoming increasingly aware of.
She caught her reflection in a small, dark window.
Taller than she remembered.
Not dramatically. Just enough to make her pause.
Her posture had changed too. Straighter. Broader through the shoulders. There was a confidence there that hadn’t been deliberate, something grounded and solid that made her look like she belonged more to the space she occupied. Her hips flared wider beneath her shirt. Her ass pressed fuller against the worn fabric of her trousers. And her breasts were much bigger. They sat heavier, rounder, straining against the cloth like they were tired of being contained.
Her fingers brushed the amulet.
Warm.
Always warm.
She paused, just long enough to consider slipping it off.
A beat.
Then a quiet scoff at her own caution, like she’d just caught herself being dramatic.
“Mah… forse domani,” she muttered, rolling the words under her breath. Maybe tomorrow.
She stripped out of her clothes without ceremony, peeling damp fabric from her skin and letting it fall wherever it landed. Heat clung to her, her naked body slick with sweat, all curves now—breasts big, soft, and heavy, hips wide, thighs thick and powerful. The amulet was the only thing she left on. It rested against her chest, warm as ever.
She didn’t move to the bed right away.
Instead, she stood there, breathing, looking down at herself. Her hands came up slowly, almost reverently, cupping the weight of her breasts. They filled her palms more than they should have. She squeezed experimentally, watching them shift and spill, nipples tightening instantly. A quiet sound slipped from her throat before she could stop it.
Her hands slid lower, over her ribs, over the generous flare of her waist, down to her hips. She turned slightly, glancing over her shoulder at the curve of her ass, fuller and rounder than she remembered. She pressed her palms into it, kneading, feeling the density, the warmth. Her breath hitched.
So big, she thought, not alarmed. Thrilled.
By the time she let herself fall back onto the bed, she was already slick.
The thin village mattress groaned in protest, the cot creaking sharply as her weight hit it. The whole hut shuddered, dust sifting from the rafters. At six feet tall now, the cot felt laughably small beneath her, her legs nearly brushing the end, her shoulders wider than the narrow frame was ever meant to hold.
She was confused as to the size difference, wondering what had happened.
She pushed the thought aside, still smiling, and spread herself out anyway.
One hand stayed on her breast, fingers sinking into its heavy warmth, thumb brushing over a tight nipple. The other slid between her thighs, tracing slick skin, pressing into the heat waiting there. Warmth pooled low in her pussy again, insistent and familiar, and she didn’t bother resisting it.
She gasped softly as she touched herself, brushing her clit, slow at first, teasing. Every stroke felt magnified, her body hypersensitive, alive. The amulet pulsed gently against her sternum, each warm throb echoing downward, syncing with the roll of her hips and the steady pressure of her fingers.
Her back arched, breast lifting in her hand, nipples tight and aching in the open air. Thick thighs pressed together around her wrist as she worked herself in earnest now, slow and deliberate, then deeper, wetter, her moans bouncing off the mud walls of the hut. The mattress dipped further beneath her, springs whining, the cot frame shifting as her fuller hips ground into it.
The amulet’s warmth intensified, and with it came that subtle stretch again. Her body lengthened just a touch, hips pressing broader into the mattress, breasts settling heavier against her chest. She barely noticed the change, too lost in the heat curling through her belly, too focused on the pleasure cresting higher and higher.
Her moans turned breathy, broken by soft, disbelieving laughter as she rubbed herself harder, one hand squeezing her breast, the other working her clit and slick entrance. When release hit, it tore through her in thick, shuddering waves, her whole body tensing, the cot creaking wildly beneath her as the hut trembled once more.
Afterward, she lay there panting, naked and flushed, skin shining with sweat. Her fingers were wet and trembling, her lips parted, chest rising and falling. The amulet rested heavy and warm between her breasts, almost content.
She shifted onto her side with a satisfied hum, suddenly very aware of how big she felt in the cramped little hut—taller, thicker, breasts and ass overflowing the space meant to contain her. Her eyes slid shut. Exhaustion finally set in, deep and heavy, while the amulet clung to her skin, guarding the secret of her larger, hotter body in the dark.
Sleep took her quickly.
Deep.
Heavy.
And unseen by anyone, the amulet pulsed once… softly… in time with her heartbeat.
—
Morning came thin and pale, mist still clinging to the treeline as Isabella stood at the edge of the crude airstrip. The jungle breathed behind her, damp and alive, while the open stretch of dirt before her felt oddly small. Too flat. Too narrow. She planted her boots and folded her arms, listening.
Then she heard it.
The plane’s engine cut through the air, distant at first, then growing louder. The sound vibrated through her chest in a way she didn’t remember from past trips. She watched the aircraft descend, sunlight flashing across its wings, the pilot lining up carefully with the strip. The ground crew scattered, suddenly very aware of propellers and bad timing.
Isabella exhaled slowly.
Empty-handed, she told herself. Another expedition logged as a loss. No statue, no idol, no temple relic dramatic enough for a display case. The museum would sigh, file the paperwork, and move on.
Her fingers brushed the amulet.
She stopped.
A faint smile tugged at her mouth, slow and knowing.
Priceless didn’t always look like gold or stone. Some things were lost because no one knew how to name them. No catalog entry. No reference number. Just a story that stopped being told because the last person who understood it disappeared.
The plane touched down hard, tires kicking up dust. People moved around it, small and busy and loud. Isabella watched from above the noise, aware again of how low everyone seemed, how the cockpit windows lined up just a bit below her eye level.
She suddenly felt a shiver run down her spine.
She straightened instinctively.
Somewhere deep inside, something turned.
Like a key sliding home, metal clicking softly as a mechanism sealed shut.
As if it had been waiting centuries for someone like Isabella to walk out of the jungle wearing its heart around her neck.
She brushed it off and stepped forward as the pilot climbed down, her shadow stretching longer than it should have in the morning light.
“Ready to go?” he asked, squinting up at her.
Isabella nodded, hand resting lightly at her collarbone.
“More than you know.”
The plane droned steadily as it climbed, the island shrinking beneath them. Isabella leaned toward the window, forearm braced against the glass, watching green swallow stone.
From above, the jungle looked peaceful. Harmless. A lie it had perfected.
She spotted the ruins easily. Broken terraces half-eaten by vines. Fallen columns casting crooked shadows. And there, farther inland, the temple she hadn’t planned on finding. The clearing. The statue.
Even from the air, she could picture it perfectly. The massive fertility idol rising from the earth like it had grown there, hips wide, chest impossibly full, stone worn smooth by centuries of reverence. Its hands cupped together, palms open, waiting. Always waiting.
Isabella’s fingers curled unconsciously.
She remembered how right it had felt when she lifted the amulet from those hands. No alarms. No collapse. No dramatic punishment. Just warmth. Approval, almost. As if the statue had been relieved.
The amulet rested against her skin now, hidden beneath her shirt, heavier than before. Or maybe she was just more aware of it. Her reflection in the window caught her eye for a moment. Taller posture. Broader presence. Something quietly monumental about the way she filled her seat.
She looked away.
The island slid out of sight, swallowed by cloud and distance. History reduced to coordinates and satellite images again. Lost, officially. Forgotten, conveniently.
Hours later, the light changed.
The plane descended over Italy, patchwork fields and stone villages replacing jungle canopy. An airstrip appeared below, clean and orderly, bordered by olive trees and low hills. Civilization. Paperwork. Museums with climate control and opinions.
The wheels touched down with a jolt.
Isabella barely felt it.
As the plane taxied, she straightened, stretching slightly in her seat. The movement felt good. Too good. Her body hummed with a low, contented energy, like something that had finally been aligned properly.
She touched the amulet once more, thumb brushing its edge.
Lost to history, she thought again.
Not anymore.
Whatever Lysara had been, whatever the statue had represented, whatever bargain had been sealed without witnesses in the jungle, it wasn’t finished with her.
As they were getting closer to home, she couldn’t help, but fawn over the surrounding land, finally back home.
Isabella, staring out at the Italian countryside, felt a slow, dangerous certainty settle in her chest.
She wasn’t finished with it either.
This was a mystery she was going to solve.
