Will & Felix discuss the ongoing spectacle of the Trump administration’s frantic march towards doing what we did to Iraq in the 2000’s or Russia in 90’s to ourselves, plus Democratic responses to defunding USAID, and the new round of gleeful scolding of their recalcitrant base. Then, we’re joined by author Will Tavlin to look at Netflix and their role in the slopficiation of film & TV.

It's a good way to put it as they said we are going through what we did to Iraq and Russia. The gun has never been as pointed to itself as now. It's a two pronged attack of delusional domestic capital thinking it is unfettering itself plus from the other side the international capitalist system eating it's old embryo, the US model, for it's remaining nutrients now that it has outgrown it through our very nurturing.

Big Cheesin'

I think they went with Walz over Shapiro because their internal polling was so bad they decided to keep Shapiro free of loser stink for 2028. To which I say, lol.

delle_chiaie

OG house of cards is terrific though. the brits have always done satire better than us but the remake is a clear demonstration of the digital culture industry in action

Mangomoosh

Wow! I read something where an “administration”employee of USAID said Russia and China are smiling now. So they aren’t even hiding it.

Secret Agent Manwich

Funny the Netflix guy found out the blockbuster late fee thing the hard way, I learned about it from the bridge of “live fast, diarrhea”

My doge ate it, don’t get much better than that folks

Shocked they didn't comment on the story of the doge employee resigning over (shocker) posting nazi shit on twitter

17m mark: another way of putting this 'peacetime winners-win' argument, "we won the war, but only the DOD got free real estate." It is hard to counter-balance post-war exceptionalism with the decreasing quality of life. The anti-populists and anti-nationalists aren't going to fix that.

Regular guy

Movie studios make money every time you watch their movies. Netflix loses money every time you watch their movies. That's the difference boiled down. All the dumb stuff Netflix does follows from that

ChicagoJon

DVD by mail Netflix + Handbrake = best streaming service ever made.

MediocreDude

Idk man I liked the first two seasons of House of Cards. Where are you getting the idea that it's spectacle at all? It's all people talking in offices.

MediocreDude

I'm convinced they haven't seen it. Or just only watched past season 2

Yacobum

If you read this intro on the pod in 2018. It would be a hilarious far fetched bit.

I texted my father about Biden being almost as hated as Bush near the end, and he told me "I hope the pro Palestine voters are happy". I told him he says that again that's the last he hears of me. I apologized for getting upset with him later, but I think it shook his boomer brain loose about 2%. I hope he's starting to get it

Gubriel

I had a girlfriend in college whose large family from Alaska loved House of Cards because they thought it was about the Clintons

Zach H.

Dunking on Netflix, huh? So I take it they passed on Felix’s pitch for the Sodas animated film.

Show should have been called ‘House of Card.’ I know Robin Wright is also a Card but it’s mostly about Frank at the outset. It’s more fun if it’s called ‘House of Card.’

(Dennis Miller voice) "I haven't seen a Doge lay waste to a once-mighty civilization like this since Constantinople in 1204 AD."

I think U.S. AID is basically a CIA front. The Education and Labor Department are not though. They started with US AID because they knew Dems would have to speak out about the unconstitutional unilateral shuttering of it, and in doing so they'd look like they were defending the CIA front. Good strategy by the DOUCHE boys.

Yes! And the premise works better in the context of the British Tory party because as Chief Whip he has blackmail on every nonce MP and connives his way to the top through shady backroom deals... Just like every Tory PM. The bit where he pushes a woman off of the top of the palace of Westminster is a bit silly though.

A lot to like about this Netflix talk, some I want to push back against: if the box office is a clear and direct measure of consumer interest, is Netflix really so off base for concluding that consumers want unchallenging slop? Look at what makes money today and tell me that it’s challenging, artistic filmmaking. I agree that most Netflix branded movies are bad but there is such ambiguity over what the Netflix branding even means. Sometimes it’s actually produced in house by Netflix, in a lot of cases it’s produced separately and acquired by Netflix for distribution. (This is especially knotty re: foreign markets. For example Better Call Saul is a “Netflix original” in other countries.) Some Netflix branded movies I’ve seen recently that I wholeheartedly recommend include Rebel Ridge (the new Saulnier movie), the Stranger (Australian crime film), and the raid-esque Indonesian martial arts/gore film The Night Comes For Us.

(Former, since I am one of many that hasn’t stepped foot on a set since the strikes) Film and tv worker here - while the streamers are undeniably responsible for the deterioration of the WGA, i would love to hear some heat be directed at production companies that innovated and perpetuated the “low budget” tv model. Jax Media created this genre by turning Broad City into a Comedy Central show from its original form of web series. Again, the streamers are the end of the road in the disaster that is today’s entertainment industry, but I wish we paid more attention to the middle men who created the infrastructure of the disaster. I know this is yet another scream into the void, but can’t help it.

That Will Tavlin interview was the thinnest slop Chapo has served in a long time. Not once does Tavlin attach a marketing budget to any of the films he discusses and Will is mildly indignant that he never “heard about” “The Unicorn Store” or “Paradox,” movies his social media algorithm would never deliver to him. Will is early middle-age (41); “TUS”and thus its marketing is aimed at an audience 20 years younger than he and “Paradox” and thus its marketing is aimed at an audience 20 years older than he.

Evan Pitkin

Don't you change this thumbnail.

Idk, an industry basically being like “we’re stopping cultural innovation and lean on AI to regurgitate the same slop over and over again” is something that’s also fundamentally weak and is begging to be destroyed. Of all the things I’m worried about, enslopification is among the least.

Hot take but the viewers are piggies. There is a larger consumer base for slop than art. That is reality. The world is a funny place

Kas

The way Will talks I think he believes that 75% of our budget goes to the Pentagon and 24% goes to Zelensky checking account. Defense is 13% and that is substantially lower than decades past. Social security and healthcare costs are becoming bigger and bigger sources of the pie. More people than ever are on Medicaid in part thanks to the expanded subsidies that may be cut in a few months. Our welfare system isn’t where it needs to be. That’s for certain. I still don’t know how one gets the idea that it’s only being cut over time.

Movie Donkey

I am shook after this episode. If my dumb handle is any indication I work in the industry as a lighting donkey. I started in 2006 and everything Will Tavlin was saying is a perfect encapsulation on my career since then. I always imagined that more streamers would mean more demand for content😂 Seemingly each project save for feature films of a decent scale or stuff by ‘auteurs’(like Adam McKay) has a tighter schedule and budget is invariably shot by some guy who is maybe 28. I just came from lunch with work friends and we were talking about a possible M Knight movie shooting here in June with a 20 million dollar budget wtf

James Proulx

How did you miss the Obama biopic? I mean, I didn’t see it but I knew it existed. Would have thought that the Chapo boys were all over it.

M

I’m shocked they didn’t have more to say about the forced expulsion of two million Palestinians as the IDF and settlers speed their cleansing of the West Bank. I guess they only care about Palestine when it can be used as a cudgel against Democrats.

M

This show is so washed, they don’t give a fuck about people dying if it can’t be used as a cudgel against Democrats.

M

I miss Matt and Amber, this shit would be exactly the same if Matt Taibbi and Glenn Greenwald had a podcast.

Based and Tylenol Pilled

Or perhaps they're saving that for an episode with one of the guests they bring on specifically to do entire episodes about the genocide

They said PEPFAR is exempt and will continue to be funded due to the blowback on it. However, obviously there were some bureaucratic issues with getting things flowing again when you furloughed a bunch of employees and are making such a mess which is why there was a delay in funding flow to that particular program at first after they walked this back.

protob1

Let me guess...you are poor and gay.

Schwartz666

Chapo analytics has determined that is their target demographic. It's not wrong. 😘

MiguelKZ

As someone who has been working in the humanitarian sector for a decade, there are many legitimate reasons to be critical of USAID, but the bottom line is they are the bread and butter of so many hunanitarian organizations. They are reliant upon USAID as a donor to implement variety of humanitarian services and interventions. USAID is a donor, not an implementer. This is a catastrophe for those programs. USAID being torn apart and just casually tossed aside by everyone who doesn’t have a fucking clue.

bobbyboy32059

I wanna believe there would be a mutiny in any kind of American invasion of Gaza. But I just don't. I wanna believe that without the real core of zionist ideology normal people would say no. But I just don't.

Nope. Unless they originated in Pennsylvania 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wonder if the slopification of movies will allow auteurs to make good movies on the cheap again. The stakes for these movies are clearly pretty low. Maybe they’ll let a couple good ones slip through.

Jonathan Krone

Cool that they interviewed a guy who's named Will but sounds like Felix

World events are rarely that dramatic. Wouldn't underestimate the possibility of enormous domestic backlash.

Kinetics Video

Should find someone who's those things plus got the heavy Midwestern Viking look then just replace the hosts with them

Kinetics Video

Oh great, someone let a pie chart nerd in here. I'll get the spray

Kinetics Video

I think it's more complicated than that. People show up for slop because it's low barrier to entry, but the art they occasionally encounter is what keeps people invested. You run the slop trough forever, always you get people tuning out, spending time with their families, other catastrophic outcomes

Kinetics Video

I don't think very many people have a substantial critique of US soft power. "Spending millions of dollars on foreign aid while *insert u addressed domestic problem" has been a popular antispending trope for a long time.

Kinetics Video

I'm not going to fault any hog's slop preferences. I will say when the climax of an episode was when our hero, Smart Rapist Politician, tricked his opponent into breaking the very important No Punching a Congressperson rule, which means he immediately won their Shadow War of Influence, was when I determined you need a dog's conception of society to find this compelling.

bobbyboy32059

I see what you mean. But I don't think I imagined anything would come of it honestly. I just wanted to believe American troops weren't that indoctrinated. I have no idea why I fixated on that in particular. I think I've just trained with too many. Got sentimental.

Another great ep but not to quibble, isn’t 60-70 movies/ year more than 1/week? Or was that an aggregate of all studios?

Oscar G.

it's definitely Talking Heads but not sure about the specific song. it does sound like something off their '77 record

You mean like last time when they and their guest proclaimed the ceasefire to be Trump’s masterpiece and not even 24 hours passed before the West Bank got besieged and Gaza was declared to be American property?

The first season was a lot of fun. It kinda tumbled downhill for the rest of its existence, but there was fun trash and melodrama along the way. The British version is also stupid but entertaining

Noctor

… I actually did like House of Cards. I was definitely still in my liberal phase. I think it appealed to the idea of liberal rule based institutions and that morally bankrupt politicians still had to cleverly dodge and duck rules and their consequences until their cleverness isn’t enough and the institutions remain whole while the bad guys get a run at power but are ultimately foiled by checks and balances or something.

This DOGE experiment could come crashing down if they mess around with the payment system too much and end up defaulting on government bonds.

I don’t disagree with anything said about Netflix and streaming, but I feel like people have hated on whatever the style of garbage TV/movies was that was in vogue back in the 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s, etc. - like when shitty network TV shows started, or studios started making cheap dumb romcoms, or direct to video, or when a million stupid action films were being pumped out. It’s all in the pursuit of profit, which we all know. Which is why this whole conversation just left me thinking, “Ok, so what?” And “surely it was ever thus”. I haven’t finished the episode, so forgive me if the second Will builds to a larger point, but I can’t seem to find a good enough reason to bother with hating all this crap. It kind of feels like walking in on my wife watching the Kardashians or some similar show and snidely and annoyingly mocking her for watching it.

Chapo Bath House

I liked it at the time because I'm a messy bitch and I love DRAMA. I also binged seasons 1-2 while I was recovering from a concession. Idk how it would hold up now, but I think part of that is because of Real Life more than the show itself (American politics being so much dumber and uglier than portrayed, Kevin Spacey being Kevin Spacey and using the Frank Underwood character as part of his bizarre intimidation campaign, etc)

Norbur

The Dead has a romantic description of West Ireland at it's apex-- Irish Wish isn't like totally wrong, not that I've seen it. Joyce loved any reference to himself, it meant a little publicity and maybe a book sold.

This could be way out of left field, but I've been mad about this for years. Annihilation is one of my favorite sci-fi books (I'm not a real sci-fi guy. Idc) and the movie was the most hollow bullshit. Part of it it comes down to the format: a lot of what makes Annihilation so cool and eerie would be impossible to put into film without being incredibly corny. The epistolary structure, the non-lineat narrative, ambiguous characterization is all easier to portray in writing and I get it. Tbh, I think some of the changes they made in the adaptation were actually really clever ways around this. I also think Alex Garland is an incredibly frustrating director because most of his movies sound like things I would love, but they all fail to deliver. He's an ideas guy; same. But you can really see where Netflix put their algorithm to work on the screenplay. Instead of just giving up on ambiguous or unreliable narrators, they just make every character completely unsubtle. One of the things I thought was cool in the book, and what the author did intentionally, was to focus on a group of women scientists, who all have private motivations that come to light throughout the novel. In the movie, we are introduced to the main character through her marriage, and this is her defining motivation throughout. In the book, her personal relationships are part of her motivation but they are characterized by her detachment. This detachment is a character trait that has plot relevance. It's like, I get that if you're casting a movie in 2015 with Natalie Portman and Oscar Isaac, you are going to make sure that they kiss. This is what the people want. But it's so frustrating that they wouldn't take the risk of making the central character appear cold or unlikeable, even though this is a movie no one saw because they deliberately fucked up the distribution lol

Christian Johnson

Mine arrived today too, looks great & I'll dive in on my spring vacation

Studio Novaya by Fredrick Edward

So like the part where Saudi investments got injected into Netflix and then they were required thusly to promote a bunch of boring old white dudes as “executive” middle management to cater to the board is a big part of the reason for the boring ass programming directions they went in. They’ve been sucking maga dick for a long time now. They’re just bad at their jobs but have some sugar daddies on the hook 🤷‍♂️

LPO Crane Jefferson

I swear to god, Netflix only cancels shows that aren’t slop.

Christopher Price

this is completely incorrect, lol. Netflix picked up the international distribution only after Paramount Pictures punted on a wide international theatrical release. They punted because Garland refused to take their notes and make Portman's character more likeable. Because the studio lacked any say over the final cut they released the movie theatrically without any promotion in US, Canada and China, then on Netflix in the rest of the world. Netflix had nothing to do with the production of the movie.

Christopher Price

i think his point was not the scale of production but the lack of care in trying to achieve that quota. In the 90s/00s Disney via ABC, Disney, Touchstone, Miramax and Hollywood were putting out at least a movie per week, if not more during the summer and award season. But a massive company like Disney releasing a movie per week by way of five different production houses shows that you need distinct groups of people who have different visions of accomplishing the goal of making the studio a lot of movie and win a lot of awards. So you want your tv movie people, your pixar types, your summer blockbuster types and your arty award magnets all doing separate things. While at netflix it's all the same people doing the same thing.

Christopher Price

it's interesting because right now there's three type of theatrical releases--awards bait, blockbusters and horror movies. horror has become the bulletproof genre. you can release whatever whenever with whoever and the fans will show up for it. adding to its armor horror is relatively cheap and basically guaranteed to earn way more than its budget. like, romcoms are dead. it's crazy how dead they are.

Christopher Price

Will's point about the change in US policy is really good and I think this is the first time I've heard anyone make the analysis that the US is punting on responsibilities of being the global cop because the amorality of the Great Powers era is more freeing.

Special Adeline

I don't know if you've already seen it but you guys gotta check out Adjective Noun

Chapo Bath House

Thanks for giving me actual information in exchange for running my mouth in the comments lol This gives me more respect for Garland as an artistically independent filmmaker, and less respect for his instinct as a filmmaker

Adam Foster

I just have to say as the only living human being who both watched and remembered the plot of Jack Black’s “The Polka King”: intentionally or not it pretty neatly summarises Trump’s America because the moral of the movie is “you can’t hate scam artists, they’re the ones who make life worth living, they just want to fill the world with joy and all it takes is giving them a little money!” It was basically Tulsa King years before Tulsa King existed

Andrew S

On Will's point about Democrats searching for examples of Trump being 1 degree worse to feel vindicated and to punish those who didn't vote for Kamala and other Democrats... I want to point out that this rhetoric has trickled down from the Party level to the personal level. My brother (my only sibling) and my sister-in-law have not been on speaking terms with me over my decision to not vote. (And no, it doesn't matter that Kamala won Virginia - where all three of us live - nor DC, nor MD.) Further, they and my parents (who also live in VA) want me to say that Trump is worse on Palestine over his Gaza Riviera comments and a bunch of other stuff. Strange... I don't remember them caring much about Gaza or ICE detention centers or tenants' rights (where I'm especially active) or labor unions, etc. Anyways, this isn't just dumb shit Democratic politicians or talking heads are saying. Their voters see it as their responsibility to, on the one hand, perform victimization (which non-voters caused them) and on the other hand, feel safe in the knowledge that they have nothing to reflect on.

Patrick Carroll

Lmao to think that USAID is not a load bearing entity in us empire is not only laughable, it also directly contradicts everything else you say about its importance. Believing that capital is a force for good in the world is hysterical. And yes, reducing the pittance we give out to neocolonial systems will actually help to overthrow those systems. Why do you think we were sending this money out in the first place? Because we are just such good guys here in America? When these programs were created the reasoning was expressly to project American empire and hamstring revolutionary movements. Again, you know you are being controlled by carrot and stick yet your only thought is “well I need to keep trying to get that carrot or else the stick will hurt me!!” Do you seriously believe that the carrot is worth everything else?

Patrick Carroll

Thank god for the humanitarian sector of capitalism. Could you imagine what the world would look like without all the humanitarian workers? Hell there could be a genocide

MiguelKZ

Hey cool. Oh i’m sorry, were you trying to make some kind of a point?

Byron_the_Bulb

Agreed! That was a real life story that was too weird to be believed. Great performance from Jack Black. Wouldn't put this one in the slop category.

Blair Rancich

I really liked House of Cards, and was not expecting to get dog-piled this episode lmao

K H

I thought it started off well despite the weird randomized southern accent. We all like garbage anyway.

Jon

The only thing pulling viewers along was the promise of the shitty politician’s downfall, which also could never happen or the show would be over

K H

I would be willing to tell them Kamala would be better than Trump if they acknowledge Hamas is better than the entire Israeli government. Trump has actually not been worse on Gaza. If they follow WizardBisan on Instagram they'd know he has been better and allowed them to return home via the ceasefire agreement that Biden had sitting in front of Bibi but did nothing to force him into. While his comments are appalling, they are his typical saying the quiet part out loud. The shooting of Palestinian children by the IDF is closer to normal levels. Lesser of 2 evil types should be able to enjoy that victory, because that is the future they are trying to drag us to. Maybe you can scare them into volunteering for the most progressive candidate, since you represent the stalwart left to them.

K H

Is...is it a real title?

K H

Am I the only one that read the Natalie's character as an Asian woman in the book? The book seemed like it should be something like Jacob's Ladder meets 2001 Space Odyssey. Movie was fine, definitely not as weird or unsettling as the book.

K H

What's funny is all those trash shows and movies were better "2nd screen" shows than what they make now. 3s Company and Odd Couple, and Seinfeld, and even Friends, are perfect for droning in the background as you stimfap through yelp reviews.

K H

Remember the Rick and Morty episode where they make the universal alien currency equal to less than 1 of itself?

K H

"How many divisions does the Court command?"

Quadabyte

Cant wait for the Tommy Tallarico cabinet position.

Did you guys know that Stephen A. has a regular part in General Hospital? I thought my mom must’ve been confusing him for another black guy but sure enough I look it up and he’s on there

Andrew S

Yeah, I agree with your comments. I think the essential dynamic that my (lib) family doesn't understand is that the Democrats and Republicans have an opposite relationship with rhetoric. The Democrats use rhetoric to hide and excuse their crimes so that they can re-assure themselves that there's nothing to be done to change course on any issue. After all, their base - upper-middle class professionals in gentrified urban spaces and wealthy suburbs - don't actually want anything material from politics; they're already integrated with the distribution of surpluses allotted to American society so all that's remaining is whether they're allowed to feel good about this status quo. The Republicans use rhetoric to ratchet up their base to hide that they're not actually doing anything more sadistic than what Democrats do. After all, the Israeli right has felt some level of betrayal by the Trump administration regarding the developments in Gaza over the couple months and now Trump and Co. feel the need to make a bunch of noise that they really do want to carry on with the genocide. Whether Dem or Rep, rhetoric is used to create a space for political argument that has little resemblance to what is actually happening. If all Dems (and Reps) are concerned about is rhetoric, than a lib can just point to something cruel that Trump or some Rep says as evidence of Trump & Reps being "worse" than Dems and that would be true as far as rhetoric goes but not true as far as material conditions go.

Andrew S

I should also say that the "worseness" in rhetoric between Trump and Biden/Harris on Palestine is pretty similar, in my book. The relationship to rhetoric that I described above is more noticeable on things like labor, immigration, etc.

Its hard to see it as anything but found footage of a Hollywood monster now, but idk, I just enjoy palace intrigue and bad guy machinations. I think the acting is mostly solid and enjoy a deeply cynical take on how the US runs. But then again, like the other replier said, we all like garbage- maybe this is just one I couldn't tell WAS garbage while I hoovered it up lol.

I was on a date who insisted we watch this movie and I was being annoying and rolling my eyes, but it was actually not half bad. I love a movie about a great liar

Found a Job was a great sting choice guys 👍🏻

My favorite House of Cards anecdote was when I volunteered for a doomed 2016 state race in the south, and the dumbass campaign manager claimed she regularly talked to the House of Cards showrunner and that he got all his ideas from her life

K H

You know now that I think about it, has Trump said any absurd lie about Palestinians like Joe did by constantly saying they beheaded babies? Elon's sieg hail did piss me off a bit, really stunted on everybody with that one.

Savannakhet

He can be Trump's envoy to Japan because he was the first American to work on a Sonic game.

Andrew S

Correct, Biden has been MUCH more dishonest than Trump about the Zionist state AND the Palestinian resistance. That's been true since well before Trump's 2025 inauguration. (But to be clear, Trump's administration was active in lining up alliances between Israel and Arab countries in the region and had no problem whatsoever in Israel's response to the Great March of Return so, as I'm sure you'd agree, Trump is pretty horrible on this issue too. But the actions of Biden and his administration since October 2023 are far, far worse, imo.)

Yes I am thanking you for your tireless work in humanitarian capitalism. I am sure that you are a real super hero in providing food for Gaza in between the bombs falling. You’re the real good guy for defending American empire 😉

MiguelKZ

Oh no buddy. Actually many of these emergency interventions are carried out by local people through local organizations. Maybe you could save your screed for them

@2:01 Can't stand how the news about Musk's lackeys being under 25 has caused so many Left-of-Center people to just loop back to implicitly defending the gerontocracy. If we accept that 17 is the youngest somebody can take another person's life on behalf of a state, they should have the right to administer it. The problem isn't because they're 19 or whatever. The problem is they actually believe in their own bullshit, and the bullshit is a class project in which WE'RE ON THE LOSING SIDE.

K H

Hillary Clinton?

It makes sense why our ancestors were getting blitzed all the time. To shave away their moral repulsion to the times in which they lived.

"Should be cleaning windshields on spec" is a great line, same with the Tupac verse, Felix for President of the World!!

Hate to be that guy but… this whole interview is just a 10 passage from infinite jest

Antipaganda

These days the fourth wall breaks would be actual in-universe speeches, and it would be good for his image.

Antipaganda

Yeah, like that pedo movie about the eight year olds.

I touched grass the other day and I haven't slept since

This podcast lost something essential when its moral soul had a stroke. (Book arrived yesterday, thankyou, I love you guys!) I still listen, because the irony slop is a shield against pain, but it's not what it used to be. Which is fine! This too shall pasaran!

Antipaganda

Well, actually, yeah, shithead, if there wasn't a fucking stick, and the carrot keeps coming, this particular donkey would be pretty happy!

Antipaganda

Listen to TrueAnon if you want to be happy.

You know, this gerontocracy thing isn't all bad. We don't need guillotines, we just need steps!

Making yourself into a donkey to be controlled by capital and then thanking your masters for enslaving you is among the most disgusting things a person can do. Kudos for demonstrating my point for me

Chris Murphy needs to get exposed on Guys: A Podcast About Guys

Tyler Sutherland

mr. chapo not understanding why cutting USAID is bad is very funny considering how much they snuff their own farts over how much smarter they think they are than libs. even libs can sniff out, if unconsciously, why the USAID is important to the empire and the nation-state. hell, Felix even accidentally steps on it by talking about it 'countering China's influence', but he says it DISMISSIVELY! actual dog-brained wannabe groypers!

Troy Mesman

They, and many of their fans, don't think obsessive military posturing and soft power projection towards China is a good idea, especially when they agree with much of Chinas policy, if not all of it.

Troy Mesman

You say this stuff like China is the aggressor in this equation. What military bases does China have near the U.S., and what naval exercises have they been conducting off the mainland U.S. Pacific Coast?

Troy Mesman

You're exposing yourself as a lib even though you refer to them in the third person.

Robert Ditty

What exactly is your political position? Neo-conservative is the only thing I can think of. You say “important to the empire” like it’s a good thing. They explicitly point out why USAID is important to the empire, which is why we are against it. Imperialism is bad. And even if I was a lib Democrat looking for an easy political win, it would not be what I rallied support for. Maybe try focusing on the cuts that will actually affect millions of Americans? Like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
