Big ups to Chris. Such a flex uploading them in random order, just dumping it on top of us.

Should I listen in chronologic or upload order? Don’t want to miss any important plot threads

tuned into this one as a Texan who never saw Friday Night Lights. the point about how it's so good to just lose yourself in characters and their relationships as a means of reflecting on and purely feeling your own emotions helped me realize that that's why i like "dumb" idol anime like Love Live! so much. it's the same thing!

Aaaahhhh you big softies, I love it when your actual positive souls get to break through the podcaster's required cynicism.

I don’t think buddy can bear to see the reflection of himself in Trump, and he’s turned off by some of his antics; but he would also never vote for a white woman. I think he’s Trump-Biden-Kamala-Vance

These guys were getting pretty idealistic about the American Stupids here. In my experience that culture is a lot more about mutually assured destruction than love. Like sure you want to come through for the team or whatever, but also you know that if you don’t they’re going to bully you until you kill yourself. Also don’t ever step out of line. Don’t wear anything you haven’t seen every single person wearing for your whole life. Don’t say a thought that your dad didn’t pass down. DO NOT BE GAY. Be devoutly religious but don’t have any thoughts about it and definitely don’t have any sense of morality. Morals are gay. The whole football team is doing gossip girl shit as soon as they leave the field. Sure the show might be about love, but the actual culture is completely devoid of anything like that.
