Okay, we're back into full development mode and probably a good week before the build is playable, but we have a good idea of what the chapter's arc is, so it's just a matter of getting the time to do the renders and code them together. Hopefully, this weekend will be quiet so we can stay on target.

For those who didn't see it, we've dropped the final release for Now & Then. There's no new content, but it features code and text corrections that have been brought up to us since the release of the 1.00.0 patch. We'll be doing the same for The Interim Domain before the end of the year, which will allow us to put both to a close before we turn our attention to game #4.

And speaking of game #4, we're still in the pre-production phase, gathering location assets and doing tweaks to the major cast members. Unlike TOXICity, where the story keeps moving from one set to the next, we intend to have a bit more reused locations as the cast revisits specific, named areas as a part of the story. Writing-wise, we have a number of scenes already fleshed out, so there is a sense of mood and theme already coming together in the back of our collective heads.

Oh, and let me say that the latest controversy about Taco Bell giving people diarrhea is hilarious to me. Like the past 4 decades weren't a gamble eating there and it not happening naturally. What makes you think the meat slurry they put in the tacos is actually good for your bowels?

Thanks for your interest,-Kinderfeld

Taco Bell has always been hell on my stomach. I'm glad everyone else can now feel my pain 😂

Christian

Yep agreed Taco Bell has always been that way, but Caseys pizza is what really kills my stomach.

Have a nice weekend for you and your team, K! I think I also have to say something about your reliable and continuous way of working. You always publish more chapters for ToxiCity in the same monthly rhythm, you can always rely on that. At the same time, you are revising already released games such as Now and Then and now also The Interim Domain. And that's not all, you're already well advanced in the fourth game, at least as far as the conceptual phase is concerned. You deserve thanks for that, I am very excited about everything that is still to come! Well, and as far as Taco Bell is concerned, I can't say anything about that. Here in Germany, they are planning a few branches at the end of 2026. But even here there are plenty of companies that cause you stomach aches and diarrhea! 😉🖐

Funny thing was a lot of people thought they had the parasite, but turns out wasn't even a store that was affected, i live in Washington state and a local taco bell was a franchise and poor owner said he sourced locally and had nothing to do with Taylor farms and still got flamed

Unfortunately, people don't understand how many fast food joints are franchised and actually locally owned.

Will Taco Bell be the main apocalyptic theme in your next game? The MC is a 30-something year-old divorcee/widow with a broken heart, who befriended 2 employees at the local Taco Bell he frequents. But a random mutation occurred in several of the franchise's biggest bean fields, causing fatal explosive diarrhea. Through the supply chain, the mutated beans killed the first 10% of the population. But after that, those who died of dehydration from diarrhea rose from the dead into mindless creatures with the ability to infect other humans by shitting on them. They're called "The Smelly Ones". Now the city is overrun with the Smelly Ones, and some survivors who have become bandits to survive hold a deep grudge against former Taco Bell employees. Meanwhile, the government is sending out special forces nationwide to purge infected urban areas to stop the infection from spreading further. The MC now has to protect his friends-turned-LIs from the Smelly Ones, the Taco Bell haters, and government armed forces as they try to find a way out of the city. The game would be called something like A-POOPcalyse, and 60% of the game will be filled with characters' inner monologue about their past digestive traumas.

I'm enjoying TOXICity as well as starting a new playthrough of N&T! As for Taco Bell - they have been off my restaurant menu for decades - after discovering how dangerous it was to eat there and then try to drive for any distance... I stick to burgers, chicken and fries for road trips.

Can't wait to see the next chapter, or this new concept. Love the work you guys do, great stories.
