We are going to put a stop to this evil company making false claims and hurting hundreds of YouTube creators by claiming public domain and creative commons material on YouTube.com Yesterday, they took down our stream and basically revoked our streaming ability on YouTube with their false claim. After researching them, I come to find that they have been doing this for years and have affected many. We want to put a stop to this and take them to court. I will be speaking with a few law firms this week and I know it's not going to be easy, but we are going to try our hardest to put a stop to them once and for all.

This is all thanks to a Content ID company by the name of "Zylo" who are claiming material that is Public Domain. If you don't know what that means, it's basically material that anyone who ever so wishes to use in any type of production, showcase, or project, may do so legally. It also means there is no copyright on said material. The Content ID company "Zylo" has decided that they will claim this public domain material and harm any YouTuber/YouTube Creator who also uses this public domain material. Last night, while we were streaming our "Old World Radio Drive-In" stream, they decided to issue a take-down notice unlawfully and caused a "live-stream ban" issued by YouTube. I have contacted YouTube support and even chatted with a YouTube support representative. The only way we can get our streaming back is if we force "Zylo" to retract their illegal claims. In preparation for this stream, I uploaded the movie to check for any types of wrongful claims. I did indeed get one from Zylo, and reached out to them three days ago. I also called them, and reached out to them via twitter and facebook. They refused to reply to me regarding this matter and instead of working it out with me, they decided to go one step further and cripple the Old World Radio - Boston channel. I want to FIGHT BACK! I am contacting law firms tomorrow and will be interviewing with many of them. This is more than likely going to cost a lot of money, so I am asking the community for help. If in the case they back down and release the claims, I will be putting the money towards more virtual machines for us to run even more streams and/or towards the cost of our current virtual machines to guarantee our streams will never end. I will make sure that we will always bring you content and music to enjoy 24/7! Thank you for hearing us out and thank you to all who help us win this battle!
