Looking for an English editor for Homecoming (Patreon)

The intro has been out a day and the feedback has been better than I hoped. A couple of people pointed at the same thing though, and they are right. Some of the dialogue reads off in English, and some lines do not connect the way they should. English is not my first language, I write the whole script myself, and that is where it shows.

I would rather fix it than pretend I did not read it. So I am opening a role.

What it is:

• Reading the script before a build ships and fixing the English. Grammar, idiom, and the lines that do not flow into each other.

• Telling me when a scene reads flat, or when something that is funny in my head is not funny in English.

• Working on the worldbuilding The story, the characters and where all of this is going stay mine almost 100%

What I can offer right now:

• Your name in the end credits and on this page, however you want to be called.

• Free access to the top tier, so you see everything as it is being made.

• If it turns into real regular work, we talk about paying for it properly. I would rather promise nothing than promise something I cannot keep yet.

If you are interested, send me a message here on Patreon. It helps a lot if you take ten or twenty lines from the intro that you think read badly and rewrite them the way you would say them. That tells me more than anything else could.

You do not need experience with games or with similar work but it would be preferable. You need to be comfortable in English, familiar with the genre and willing to be blunt with me.

And to everyone who posted about the intro, here and on F95: thank you. Bugs, complaints, things that read wrong, keep them coming. That is what the next update gets built out of.
