I had no idea how difficult it was going to be to purchase a black light in a retail store. I thought they were everywhere! Wal-mart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot...basically I thought anywhere that sold light bulbs probably had black light bulbs as well. Apparently I was very very wrong about that. 

The largest problem with my creativity and photography ideas is that they often hit me the day of a shoot. This leaves me often with little time to obtain the supplies needed, and makes it impossible to do the ol “buy it on Amazon” routine. 

So after hitting several stores, I discovered that Spencer’s gifts still carries them. Two blacklights and $120 later, bam we have a shoot! Also...turns out the camera has a really difficult time picking up such a dim form of light...so after a whole lot of work to testing different camera settings I think I wound up nailing it! Here are a few selections from the full shoot just to give you a taster of things to come.

Also just wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I know not everyone reads these, but if you do I want to say thank you for all of your support, it’s been a great 2019 and I cannot wait to make 2020 the best year yet!
