Sometimes I’m listening to a song and I can just see the video in my head so clearly. I guess after doing this for so long and always being alert to new potential songs for videos it just becomes second nature. I had this vision for several weeks, and was originally going to shoot it the day after I came up with it. But that shoot ran a little long and we didn’t manage to get around to doing any video work; so it just had to wait for the right time.

Luckily, Lu was an AMAZING model to work with. It was her first time modeling, but she took directions perfectly, was very fast to pick up whatever I was asking of her, and most of all she wasn’t afraid to try whatever I suggested. By far my favorite people to work with are fearless people. So many people are worried about what they look like, but my whole job is to make them look good, so it always feels a little silly to me when people worry like that. But hey, it’s hard to quiet insecurities. Luckily that wasn’t the case with Lu and I had a blast making this with her.
