Let's talk about 0.4 properly! (+ 3 days left to vote) (Patreon)

Hi! First of all: I've been counting votes and this is the current standing. These seem to be the girls that will make it into the game, but I've decided to leave voting open until the 15th or so so feel free to keep voting.

Anyway, let's have a proper talk about the game. Meds are working well so I've been making good progress, but I'm trying to make up for a very slow year so it's not done yet.

What I have now (skip if you wanna be surprised upon release :))

A reworked storyline

Massive rehaul of how the game's characters are handled

Massive back end rehaul of how things are coded (you won't notice this, hopefully :) but it'll do wonders for performance later on)

Massive business rehaul

A trio of starter businesses + upgrade paths and storylines

A new employee system where you can (and have to) interview and hire non-celeb girls for your businesses

A functional and fully rehauled LAX app to track levels that will influence the story

New functions to hire for (contractor for business upgrades, hiring manager for businesses, IT girl to build websites etc.)

A new traveling system that cuts the LA region into areas (Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Downtown, Santa Monica etc.)

A functional lunch date with randomized conversations

New locations to eat at with your favorite girls

A conversation system where either you pick the topic or the other side randomly talks about her alotted topics (depending on her character these will differ)

A whole bunch of conversations (and also a whole bunch of still empty ones, unfortunately)

The very promising start of relationship mechanics including in-depth breakup/cheating/affair mechanics for the celebs who are in relationships

The promising start of new immersive, dynamic sex mechanics

A new skillset system where you can make a starting build and master 30+ skills through gameplay eventually (although many of them are unused for now)

Actual conversation and/or action skillchecks that tie into the new skillset system

Sound design added for atmosphere (ambient sound almost everywhere + optional music)

An overhaul of gym and fitness mechanics

More character creation options when it comes to personalization, sexuality and kinks

A whole bunch of new cars, clothes and other items

Already 16 new girls for now and a whole bunch left to add from this month's free-for-all poll and the recent pr*nstar voting round

A big visual overhaul with way more picture buttons and banners to make things prettier

Probably a whole bunch I'm forgetting :)

What is left to do:

Finish up the important conversation topics that move relationships along into girlfriend/FWB/marriage

Add at least 2 more date locations

Fill in some more small talk for variety

Tie the new storyline into the already established main streaming company storyline (this is the fun part but I have to finish the hard stuff first :p)

Coding and writing a whole bunch of scenes for the new sex mechanics

It might not sound like a lot but this is still a big job. It involves a lot of mechanics that are becoming more and more complex as they all mix into each other. It's honestly a lot of fun figuring it all out now that I can actually focus on it but it's tough. I fix one thing, another breaks and playtesting is becoming harder and slower with the new intro (it takes a while!). But I'll get there.

Realistically I aim for a release in the spring. Hopeful me says april, realistic me says may or early june. But as you can read above, this will be massive. It'll make this game the actual game I wanted to make and it'll fill in some of the final mechanics that are needed so badly. With those in place I can start focussing on more frequent updates with content, story and fixes.

I get that waiting this long sucks, but I had to break the entire game for this update and I've been putting it back together for over a year. It's gonna be worth it, you'll soon all agree hopefully, but it's a slow process and when I was in the pits of overwhelm last year I honestly wasn't always sure I was gonna make it. But I am sure again because the hardest part is over now and things are coming together even better than I could've hoped for. The hype is real.

I'm working on a showcase post with screenshots that will be posted on Reddit soon (no censorship) and of course I'll share the link when that's done :) I hope this update has given some of you some peace of mind. This is gonna be an amazing year for Miss-Adventures!
