AHOY there mateys! YARRGGHHH 🏴‍☠️🦜

That's my best pirate impression, and yes, it's bad.

LOTS of piratey goodness in this one, including a real life pirate Henry Avery and also a little curse that is very familiar to me, but I couldn't place it at the time of watching. I now since remember 😅

I sort of picked up where the story was going before the big reveal, which is always exciting. I love getting more snippets of info about Amy's pregnancy and it kinda feels like she IS pregnant, but maybe not right now. It's got something to do with the Time Head she mentioned, I'm sure of it.

Well, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend 💜

Rory just keeps on dying, doesn't he?

He really does like his Tardis. What is the phrase “boys and their toys?” I love watching Rory and Amy together. And the doctor with them.

Oh also, episode three had a short prequel.

Mels Chaos

Amazing reaction as always 😊 I just looked it up and there was a black spot curse in the Pirates of the Caribbean. Maybe that's why it's familiar?

James Hawkins

Also in the movie "Treasure Island".

Captain Jack: well, what the hell am I then?

This episode demonstrates one of the best lessons in writing - subvert expectations. A pirate ship and a siren could have been played so predictably - but not here. That's why DW under Steve Moffat is so good - he knows how to create an original story out of un-original items.
