So.... Why do I think a lot of you were waiting for me to find out THIS bombshell 🤣🙀 I can't believe I was so close to piecing it together at the beginning, but then so clueless towards the end! I just NEVER imagined this would be a thing?! So, THAT happened!

REALLY great episode, and it was brilliant to see so many characters/villains again. So emotional in many places... Amy and Rory are just beautiful together and I will protect them with all my heart! They are such a wonderful couple.

(sorry, it won't let me upload the thumbnail right now, I'll try again soon)

This is my favorite episode. The Doctor has some great quotes, but "Good men don't need rules, now is not the time to find out why I have so many." always gets me.

Starved For Time

I think we were all waiting for your reaction to this one. Especially after you saying last week was the bombshell.

OverWims

River: It's my birthday... It was staring us in the face the whole time!

OverWims

10th Doctor to River: I'm a time traveller, I point and laugh at archeologists. 11th Doctor: *points and laughs at baby Melody* He's a man of his word

OverWims

I so wish when Strax said "Rory, I'm a nurse" that Rory replied with "So am I"

ClaryTehSage

I’m going to burst waiting for you to see the next episode! 😁

Jonathan Wilson

Wow, I think you’re the first person I’ve seen to immediately notice how “Melody Pond” has the same meaning as “River Song.” Well done! Per usual, I adore your reactions! You make this American gay man almost forget about the next 4 years of insanity I’m going to have to endure! 🤣

Oliver

Don't wonder too much about it not always making sense. It's not just the jumbled timelines, sometimes it's just the writer. For example don't expect the Astronaut suit to ever really make sense, I tried, but it just doesn't (at least with the information that is given in the show). But what a beautiful reveal. And you saying that River Pond and Melody Pond sound alike at the beginning of the episode just made us all grin.

The Rising Ape

"The only water in the Forest is the River." Yes, many of us have been waiting quite a while for this episode and your reaction to it but once again you ferreted out the salient points before the story lead you there. From here on in it gets pretty wild and I can't wait to see it. Love and light as always.

Wojo

Apparently this episode was also meant to have Captain Jack Harkness make an appearance, very sad that never happened.

Melody Pond... River Song.... I thought it was similar but I never put two and two together 🤣

xjuliettex

Yeah, there's so many different writers that it can get a little fuzzy around the edges at times! It's HIGHLY entertaining though, so I'm okay with it not to make much sense... As long as people forgive an old girl for being confused 🤣

xjuliettex

I adore how I got the name similarities but that's about as far as I got because RIVER being MELODY, Amy and Rory's DAUGHTER, is insane 🤣🤣 Thank you, Jonathan! You've made my day about 10 times better 💜

xjuliettex

Geez..... It's just.... I can't even 🤣

xjuliettex

THIS WEEK was a definite bombshell! It might be every week from here on out 🤣

OverWims

Yep. If he was going to be involved, it was going to have him lose his head by the headless monks, his body would then be theirs but his head would continue on and that's how he would eventually become the Face of Boe. But John Barrowman was too busy filming Torchwood at the time. In-universe wise it makes no sense why the Doctor wouldn't get Jack's help. If you're going to war, you'd surely get the 1 person who can't die.

Mazzis

One of my favourite obscure details, in Silence in the Library the Doctor says to River "I'm a time traveller, I point and laugh at archaeologists" And the first time he sees Melody he does exactly that

Oliver

Nothing to forgive! And Moffat (the show runner of 11th and 12th Doctor) does it deliberately. Playing with expectations, everybody is supposed to first think that Amy was talking about the Doctor instead of Rory. And sometimes they throw logic out the window just to have a great visual (for example the Astronaut)

In the doctors wife (one where the tardis is put into that woman’s body) she keeps saying something about a forest and a river to Rory! Loved watching along with you as usual! ❤️❤️

xjuliettex

It makes sense now!! Thank you 😊😊

xjuliettex

.... WOW! They've had this brewing for SO LONG!

Colin 3of5

don't worry we're all sadists here enjoying watching someone else's mind go bang 🤣🤣

Isaiah

River was so happy to see her Dad on her bday and had to hide it 🥲

SeeJay

This episode feels like a 2-parter because of everything that happens. Such an amazing episode. And kudos to you for making the River/Pong and Melody/Song connection, even if it didn't fully bake until the end (which it didn't for me either).
