This is the Welcome to Hellmouth episode, the very first episode I've seen of Buffy!

This episode is blurred but with audio left in. I will have the no audio video up soon, so please do tell me which version you prefer!

Thank you 💜

Argh!! I just realised I forgot to put in a timer countdown at the beginning 😩 sorry all... when I tell you I'm new, I really mean it 😅 I'll have the no audio one with a timer up later today💜

If you're going with the watch along format then I suspect most folks are going to tell you they prefer no audio since they'll probably be using the audio from their own copy, or at least I do. As an aside it seems that Buffy and Angel seem to have the least issues with copyright stuff, at least within Patreon and most reactors I subscribe to don't feel the need to use the watch along format with just an unblurred picture-in-picture. (Anything from HBO is usually the worst, they are notoriously shitty about copyrights). Obviously I get why you would still want to just to head off any copyright headaches and it shouldn't really be a problem for anyone. And if it is, eff em lol It's your channel. My preferred set-up is to leave an unblurred strip along the bottom and/or a reasonably light blurring so that it is easiest to use visual cues to sync or re-sync. An unblurred minute or so lead in before the full blurred effect is also very helpful. Hopefully that all makes some sense and is at least somewhat useful to you. And don't worry too much about little mistakes along the way, we'll all figure it out together. Have a good rest of your day, my friend 👍

I also prefer the no-audio because I don't have the best hearing, and sometimes have trouble hearing your voice over the sounds of thet show. I prefer to lower the show volume and turn on the closed captions so I can hear you.

OH! You are a GENIUS! I love the idea of the unblurred strip! See, this is why I come to you guys for help 🥰 Thank you so much!! I'm going to work on the first episode again now using that idea! Thank you!!

Also, HA! I have to laugh at your "eff 'em" attitude. That's something I struggle with as a self-confessed people pleaser. I just want everyone to be happy, often at the sacrifice of my own happiness 🥴 You're right though! I'll try and take on board a bit more of your sass hehe

Ha ha I don't know about sass, just trying to head off anything like that at the pass is all. Crowdsourcing ideas and asking for input is always a good idea but at the end of the day these are your decisions to make and folk need to respect that.

I remember you saying that, Alan! I think that will work out for the best, then 💜 It's hard to navigate in the beginning, and I appreciate all your advice that you've given me and also your patience as I work through this! I'll work on the Firefly videos again and have them back up soon 🤗🤗
