People need to stop lying to 'protect' their loved ones. It's crazy to me they don't see that they're putting them in more danger. Everyone should know to drink vervain, train themselves to self defend, they should know to use a wooden tool or throw vervain infused water...yes a vampire is much stronger and chances of survival are slim, but how is being in the dark about all of it better? Not to mention the broken trust and constantly being gaslit..being angry about this and not wanting to hear any more lies is totally justified, Jenna and Matt are right on this, why should they want to keep talking to people who don't tell the truth

Klaus compelled Isobel to kill herself, he clearly compelled her to do a lot more stuff for him such as tricking Katherine, that last phone call was very revealing. Yes Rick got kidnapped and Klaus is now using his body. That other dude you first thought was Klaus, is just his witch
