Oh wow you jumped on the Arizona hate train several seasons early! I will say, Arizona's reaction isn't all that unrealistic especially for 2009/2010. There are plenty of people in the LGBT+ community that feel a need to be tolerant back to the people who don't accept them. It's especially prevalent in people who've known nothing but acceptance from their families like Arizona did. People like that can't fathom a parent that won't stick by their kid no matter what. It's true that some parents need an adjustment period and won't react the exact right way and will come around but Callie's dad is clearly not in that zone and Arizona can't see that. All that said, Arizona speaking as if Callie needs to give her father some grace when he brought a whole priest with him to 'de-gay-ify' her was super insensitive. Had Callie been a real person and a friend, I'd have told her not to listen to that BS and to protect her peace until the day he father was truly coming from a place of wanting to understand and not just change her. The way Callie's dad came around in 2.5 seconds from a speech from a non-religious person was not believable whatsoever to me either. Callie and Arizona's storyline brings a lot of nostalgia for me so I hope you'll enjoy it. If not, at least you'll be entertained judging the characters and their dumbass choices over the seasons lol. I'm not too fussed about you skipping Cristina and Owen scenes, though hopefully you won't miss important plot points. Yes this is how Izzie leaves. There are a lot of character exits from the show that make me upset because of how they go down. My least favorite exit isn't Izzie, but involves her off screen a lot of seasons later. I'll probably pop back in to bitch about it if you make it to that season. Fully agree about Lexie! It was crazy out of character for her! I'm curious to see how you end up liking the Mercy-West personnel. Several of them will stick around for many seasons to come.
